well the main issue is that as the vehicle is auctioned on the name of contractor who buys complete lot & is purchased by some one else for whom the transfer fee is too much if the vehicle is directly purchased from auction what would be the cost of registration at Lahore
If someone can confirm the cost if this case then it would be great . I will be going to peshawar auction in November (dates not confirmed) and get a vehicle directly

If u have a friend or sum1 from swat , get it registered in swat kpk , its tax free no WH tax ! But have to be registered on a person's name whose nic address is of swat
I would suggest getting at least a registered hard top. Plus the actual condition of the body won't be known until you do at least a pressure wash and chemical peel. In all likelihood you will need to replace the fenders and the floor pan at the very least, due to rust and metal fatigue. Engine can be salvaged obviously but you might want to consider an upgrade. Save yourself a lot of hassle and start with something already roadworthy, in my humble opinion.

Registration cost at Rawalpindi is almost the same as mentioned @ homeboy which means it will be same at Lahore.. Though it is extremely high and not logical but it is... Seems the story ends for unregistered rig
Nobody has ever confirmed me that u can buy 1 vehicle from the auction.. To me these r only sold in lots.. R u sure an individual can bid for 1?? If yes.. count me as well.. We both will be goin to Peshawar..
