Just checked that plug with the key at switch on position, it was 0.01v, I had connected the other probe to a ground cable.

i want to test with another coil before buying a replacement.....anyone willing for that

@xulfiqar, is the coil a generic item or i need to see any specs before buying a new one? what do i tell the shopkeeper/ stealership and how do i test that it is good for my car

Test what? You wouldn't see a difference unless your car is in good tune and you wouldn't be able to tune it nicely unless you get a new coil

Plus did you clean the coils contact points before you checked the resistance?

Just tell the shopkeeper to give a Denso 12v coil (2 point wali) for margalla

make sure the coil primary resistance is the same, if you put in a low resistance (red top coil) in a system with no resistor kiss your ignitor module good bye.

i guess u can get YEC distributor cup for 350 and rotor fpr 200 brand new in box

If a difference isnt felt immediately , ghar walay will consider it as money wasted....which means further work by me shall be discouraged....khudi pesay kathay kar k ley ata hn without telling anyone :P.

I cleaned the nuts with sand paper and then connected the probes.

The socket for the ht cable was scraped clean.

There was very little fluctuation

i visited a parts shop and this denso gt coil was for 3150.

i also found a toyota nd coil, it was kabuli for 1200........i think he elevated the prices looking at my phone
