Generator Engine Overhauling & ATS Dedicated Thread ( Advice , DIY, Repair ,Install)

well your generator is of 196 cc so you may need bigger flame than 3 inch , you can experiment on that,,,,,,,,,,,,,yeah its similar to gas stove knob,,,,,,,,,fully tight the know can kick the flame to several feets which is very dangerous ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

yeah even like half turning flame was over feet long
sure i will set it soon.
and the estimate for turning my china wala genny to selfstart
is 4500to5000....
starter motor/flywheelgear magnet..
price of everything is going on higher side now last week i asked the price of 12v battery 165amp Exide it was for 6800
and today he was asking 9800.. :S

which i modded, its by some Global company and i got it for 500rs..

its not too much ,,,,,,,,,,,about 2 years before i convert a briggs and staton engine into self start and then auto start,,,,,,,,,,,it was recoil kick start ,,,,,,,,i found some junk parts of briggs and staton engine but that engine was of bigger cc,,,,,,,,,,,,,i cant fit its fly wheel on my engine,,,,,,,,,i noticed that the fly wheel gear can be fitted on my fly wheel,,,,,,,,,,,,,and also the starter motor,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,there was no magnets inside my engine fly wheel so i use a 12V transformer runned by generator 220V output to charge the battery ,,,,,,,,,,,,,all thats cost me more than 5K,,,,,,,,,,,

guru jee need to ask you about water motor...
any advisable mods? its attached to main water line and first we have to check it manually if there's a water in line then turn it on .. or are there any auto kits available? which can sense the water in line and turn the motor on itseLf?

I was thinking of installing this circuit in the generator which will switch it off as soon as electricity comes.
Q.1: Will it work?
Q.2: How to locate the wire of ignition which upon cutting will switch off the generator/ignition. I looked behind the starting key of generator, there were four wires coming there white and black color. How to identify the single suitable wire for my circuit.

yes it is posible , and i have already done that on 1Kw generator which was not self start , atleast you can get an auto off generator if not auto start,,,,,,,,,,,,,,the kill switch wires are right on the ignition switch,,,,,,,if cant locate then use one wire grounded with generator body and other which is comming right from the HT coil , not the one which is going into to spark plug , locate another wire which is comming out from HT coil,,,,,,,,when you ground that wire engine will die

Guru jee i done some things today Tappets adjusted by mechanic gas ratio on T valve adjusted it starts now on a single crank on gas there was a problem one bolt on the tappet cover was slip mechanic was making things like will grind back and then put a nut bla bla bla lamba rasta most of these chinease gens have this problem and gen mechanics charge too much and they make it a long work he was telling me that he'll come early with a grinder and wil grind the block so we can slip a nut there to hold the 10 mm bolt in place and today load shading is too much what i did simple trick
i got a 11 size screw its a heavy duty one and it Fits without a problem on the place of the bolt on tappet cover its ok and running now had to adjust other bolts so that engine oil won't leak and tightened them no leaks at all every thing fits like a glove plus got that genuine jan tappet gasket from jan kit M.A its still running now flawless

u can only if ur generator is with self start or else u have to make it self start first....
and price of the ats depends ...if you wana make ur own price will be less,if you have a plan on getting one from the market it will be from 15to30k.

any updates??? add a changeover aswell so it changes itself as soon as power gets back...
25amp relay/6point 12v coil relay diodes and 12vdc adapter thats all u need if i rembr correctly
