can anyone guide that from where can i get clock meter for homage generator since it comes without one and for changing its oil and regular maintenance one needs it.i checked for it in rwp saddar and city saddar road,raja bazar but couldnt find one.

well Bro do visit electric shops, and ask for hour meter (GHANTA METER in local language :P).

You can hav one from Generator Repairing wala, They have junk and he will remove from old and give you. Just check for a working one, You can have it from Generator Part store as well, Check Sultan ka Khu as well

one quick inquiry from brothers using ATS suppose 2.5 kva gen when wapda is of and gen starts if the heavy load is on than gen seems to die it just cant take heavy load straight away load like fridge unlike the 6 kva which have no issue like this . what is the solution i am asking from all who have ATS installed what to do.

one quick inquiry from brothers using ATS suppose 2.5 kva gen when wapda is of and gen starts if the heavy load is on than gen seems to die it just cant take heavy load straight away load like fridge unlike the 6 kva which have no issue like this . what is the solution i am asking from all who have ATS installed what to do.

thats why we install timers on heavy loads.

install time delay to fridge for about 5 to 10 mins

difference between normally close and noramally open point of relays or switches coil based.

The state conditions Normally open (NO) and Normally closed refer how the contacts sit when the switch is off, relay coil voltage is 0, etc.

-If when a relay coil has 0 volts, two contacts make a complete circuit , then that contact set has a normally closed configuration.
-If when a relay coil has 0 volts, two contacts (in the same set) do not make a complete circuit, then that contact set has a normally open configuration.

but in my time delay circuit i connect petrol solenoid to (NC) point written on its relay and flasher to (NO).
the logic is when it gets power petrol solenoid activates between the delay period and after the set delay period of time delay flasher circuit activates.

i have strange issue with my 2.5kva gen that it is not producing any current it is starting and all but no current even the volt meter is dead what to do ?

use a 220v AC relay and 12Dv DC relay in series to deactivate the self. in case one fails u then have a backup. self cost around rs 1600. so better use this safety precaution

Need help from all the expert members, i have gen set of Honda 3.5KVa coil start. It was running fine on gas from last two years, but now its gas kit has developed a strange problem, supply from gas kit to generator does not remain constant, at times it shuts down due to over supply of gas, when gas flame adjusted to two inches (as described in the starting pages of this thread) , it runs fine but after three or four days its flame again increased.
Please advise should i install a new gas kit or existing one can be corrected .

i think there is a problem with the spring in your gas kit. replace it.

well i replaced the spring using CG125 timing spring the leakage stopped as well as my engine
i dont know how NG kit works so that is why i can only guess that as spring was to tight so the engine was unable to suck gas. Is my point valid that the spring is also affect the suction of engine, the harder the spring the difficult to extract gas.

dear i just wanted to say that when relay is latched (current is provided to coil) at that point common is connected to N/O point.
when relay is at rest position in that state the common is connected to N/C point.

so when T2 provides current to relay the common will be in contact with N/O point (petrol solenoid) when T2 timer is out the current to relay is OFF and common point is in contect with N/C point (flasher circuit)

first of all check the breaker as Mr. OmRon described.
after that check bridge rectifiers, now days china gene dont have transformers , the AC 12 volts are also coming from dynamo (note thats AC not DC so to convert that AC into DC bridge rectifier is used) bridge rectifier is inside the panel box of gene. (square shaped).

I have checked the breaker, it's intact and shows zero resistance on meter. Yes it has a bridge rectifier but don't know how to check its health; however I traced the two wires going in the rectifier, they lead me to the dynamo's stator winding; I also checked voltage at the wires going in stator winding but no voltage was detected; but my meter was on DC Voltage; I'll now try detecting any life by putting the meter in AC mode and will let you know.

There are a number of solutions for that problem, what I am using is to add a time delay relay to the wire that powers Changeover switch; This is like normal relay but has a knob at it's top with time marks; turning that knob increases/decreases the delay time. That delays input to the Changeover and this way generator gets time to warm up and stabilize. It costs Rs. 200 to 250

i did whAt u ask but flasher circuit starts after 30 seconds and goes off after 1 second and multimeter keeps on showing vvolts
I made one joint of negative wires of T1,T2,multimeter,flasher circuit and connected it to transformer nnegative and connected positive of transformer to t1 positive.
t1 time adjusted to 30 seconds and t2 time adjusted to 1 second
and t2 starts after 30 seconds

on ATS side intall proper Amperage Circuit Breaker, It will trip if more load is present will save your long run to the generator for setting its Circuit Breaker. If you have
2.5 KVA Generator = install 10 AMP
3.0 KVA = 13 AMP
4.0 KVA = 18 AMP
5.0 KVA = 22 AMPS
6.5 KVA = 29 AMPs

These circuit breakers are not available from common electric store, If you live in Lahore then on KHARAK Stop you can get from ALI BILLA Electric Store. Its one of the Lahore's Advance part store.

In Islamabad I believe there must be some one in SULTAN ka KHU, In common store you will find only 5 AMPS, 10 AMPS , 20 AMPS , 32 AMPS , 63 AMPS and 100 Amps circuit breakers. But from a Specialty Store you can find all the amps range.

bro i have a solution to your prob.... just take 12 v gen supply from the charging coil of the batery before rectifier... add a new ractifier and it will substitue same as that u were using previously...
