hey guys i made some tweak, i think its worth sharing with you guys.

as some time we need to run our generator on petrol also so i just managed petrol start ATS.

i placed a plastic fuel bottle and fixed the petrol solenoid on the frame.
so far i am having trouble with reduced gas pressure, i think i just figured it out

that may be because i place the gas pipe on the bend side of T connector. so in first attempt i am going to alter the fuel pipe to bend side of T connector and gas and carb on straight line.

good finally u to are also starting on petrol and converting to gas.
i have connected the petrol solenoid on bend side of Tee. while gaskit pipe and carburater venturi are in a straight line.
works like a charm. best of luck

which bottle are u using. i need the same bottle with nozzle type opening at bottom like the one u are using for petrol start.
Are u using gas solenoid on your NG Kit?

i got many plugs laying around ngk v power discarded after 2 months of use

pull the rope to check if its not sticking. it should not stick while pulling while minor resistance is acceptable.
if sticking then bad camshaft responsible for not starting and putting extra load on battery to drain it

take out he plug and check for compression by putting thumb where plug is put on and pulling the rope , it may be due to leak valve. secondly did u connect wires properly check that to.

problem solved while installing the flywheel don't know how but the timing key on the crank shaft fell and was stuck to the magnet on the flywheel due to which flywheel was not is the right position it was producing spark on exhaust stroke it started on half self after getting the flywheel to its position

dude that bottle is easily available in auto-market all you need to ask for is,
auto-rickshaw oil bottle, available in 2 shapes.
1. round
2. rectangular (one that i am using)
i prefer rectangular because it has mounting clip and can be attached easily using screw-clumps.

cost 70 rupees for bottle and mounting clip.
20 rupees for 2 screw-clumps of 1 inch sized.

down-grading your engine oil is not good or healthy practice. once your engine is habitual, down-grading will cause problems.
i do have personnel experience in this
in winter you can extend your interval of oil change that would be good practice.

Good brand if original, original one will cost you almost same as other Japanese brand, while the Chinese one is same as other Chinese available in market.

it was a mess, when i got engine overhauled last year mechanic forgot to connect oil sensor to generator, which i also did not noticed at that time, since few days i had the problem of oil decreasing which was quite significant, i never added oil before and was adding up since last few days, yesterday i drained old oil and found out about oil sensor and that there was minimal volume of oil in the chamber, i added up new oil and started and since then it has started giving heavy smoke at the start of generator. then smoke disappears, i think ring has gone, but can there be some other thing as well.
i want ask senior members if i plan to change ring, how would i know that piston is also worn out or else can be used, if i am using same piston (if piston being good) what size of ring should i use, shall i take piston to shop and ask for ring showing him the piston.
secondly is it good to take out only generator engine from flywheel side (would be more easier), rather dismantling it from rotor and field side.
thirdly how would i connect oil sensor, there are only 3 wires coming out and all are connected, i can not find any point to connect oil sensor wire.
urgent reply is needed as i want to get it done before eid.

u messed up the engine. for changing rings gen needs to be fully dismantled. oil sensor gets connected to ht coil usually yellow wire.
for rings, piston comes out and then u can see the damage to piston or sleeve. my guess only rings are gone use NPR or good quality rings. hope all is well inside best of luck

thanx moiz for prompt reply, i know engine has to be dismantled but is it necessary to dismantle rotor and field as well, wouldn't it be easy to take out the fly wheel and and open the two nuts (foundation) and dismantle silencer and the whole thing can come out and i will be good to go, this time i m planning to do it my self but i don't want to play with rotor and field(as they are not easy to come out), you can say that i am afraid of playing with electric things. are there any bench mark tests to identify the piston damage or sleeve, or i have to just depend on my naked eyes for identification.

Blue smoke out the exhaust is an indication of burning oil That oil can come from one of three sources:
1) Blown gasket seal between the cylinder and the oil passage(s) to the cylinder head.
2) Worn piston rings (especially the oil control ring)
3) Worn valve guides/seals. The smoke is usually heavy during acceleration or when started after sitting a long time.

Since the engine probably has about 225k miles (or more) on it, I would consider an engine overhaul. If the rings are bad, you'll have to pull the engine to get to them so you might as well do an overhaul anyway. You might consider having the heads reworked - valve job. The valve job is part of an overhaul. If that fixes the problem, then you don't have to pull the engine unless you want to do the overhaul. How much are you willing to sink into this car? I would also want to know how the mechanic determined that the head gasket was bad - can't tell by looking at it. Maybe a low compression reading on one cylinder will show up as a possible head gasket problem (or valve problem).

Black smoke is a sign of an overly rich fuel mixture (not an engine problem). White smoke (steam) is coolant being drawn into the combustion chamber (head gasket problem). But you probably already know that.
