Thanks for your reply OmRON; I have heard agoodfriend saying something like that if you are able to reasonably flame a single burner stove, then your generator should run well on that pressure and I have noted the same thing in my case.
Secondly my generator only needs full choke for starting afterwards it can't handle full choke and starts making "Bhuk Bhuk" sounds after intervals of about 5 seconds; which is a sign of drowning in gas (more gas than it can handle) so I have to come out and push the choke lever back to half choke and then its happy again.
One more thing which bothers me is that a few months back I didn't even need to touch the choke lever and generator used to start and run very well; what could have caused it to need more gas and less air for starting and then run at half choke??
And yes, I have also heard that domestic gas pressure is about 21mb; however in my case minor changes in gas pressure doesn't affect the generator; unless pressure is too low for my kitchen stove to flame properly which is very rare.
