generator is brand new 25 hours old 17 hours ran on petrol was taking load of ac on petrol with fridge freezer and ups running on it brand is firman quality is v good no oil at breather pipe

try giving load at intervals one after the another. first ac then rest appliances. Or borrow a gaskit and check.

Yes; both the camshaft and governor gear are fine; I have changed the governor gear a few days back.

Dear friends;

Since last one week, i am experiencing this problem. The generator starts well with constant voltage on NO LOAD. As soon as i give load, the voltage drops from 225 to 190~220. Lights starts to flicker. I wonder why as it is a brand new generator with less than 40 hrs counter. I have checked on petrol and ALHAMDOLILLAH it is fine on petrol. But with gas, starts giving problem. Any friend that might help me out.. Thanks.. JAZAKALLAH

I have unscrewed the gaskit screw - it gave minor improvement - but will it increase my gas bill?? and is it safe?

^It will increase your gas bill.
Loosening Gas Screw= More Gas flowing in = More gas used = More $ to be paid.

but bro, genset will intake as much as required.. for eg i have a car full of petrol/ gas but the intake of engine will be as per the requirement.

In EFI cars yes. Not in Carby ones, you can Lean out the mixture by just adjusting the Fuel and Air ratio...

How to Adjust gaskit

1> run generator without load and turn Off the petrol, and wait untill you feel petrol near to end, (generator sound tells you)
2> now generator petrol near to end, Open NG (Gas)
3> adjust the load screw tight/lose untill engine run smooth on Gas. wait little bit untill generator 100% on gas run.
4> now again start tight (clock wise) the load screw, keep observing engine sound. when you feel generator become unstable, at that point open (counter clock wise) the 1 to 2 turn, at that point generator run on Maximum RPM with good sound.
5> now apply load on generator, if its OK then recheck and tight the all screws. if you feel dose not carry full load, you may open 1/2 turn (counter clock wise) load screw.

Most of our kits gives you best start with factory adjustment. if need you may adjust from " Start adjust" screw

and what kind of Wapda connection, i.e 3 phase or Single phase.

Bro gen set is 25 kva self built diesel.
And regarding meter.
1 meter of 3 phase and 1 meter single phase. I guess one Ats can manage both meters.

I got a very nice person who is preparing Ats panel for me. His name is Akram and his number is 0300 4616671. He has got alot of knowledge of Ats's and has a variety of different brands to make Ats from.

Bro it depends on which brand products (connectors, timer etc) you opt for the panel. I opted hyundai connectors and fuji timer.
It costed me 41k including 4 connectors, 3 timers and misc meters (china made but good quality) with box and wiring.
Guy is experienced and official supplier to Ptcl of Ats panel in Punjab.

Hi All;

My generator was lacking power; I tried a lot of adjustments with tappets, plug, governor, carburetor e.t.c but couldn't succeed. Now I overhauled the engine (Sorry for not making a video); Changed rings and piston, and got Head and valves repaired.

Now the problem is that engine is only taking about 20% load. If I put more load, engine destabilizes and keeps missing even if I remove all the load.

When I remove the air filter box, I see the choke-plate vibrating like hell (opening and closing). If I push the choke plate to closed position, engine comes back to smooth operation and remains smooth even if I leave the choke-plate. Then again engine runs good unless I put heavy load.

Any suggestions
