i have couple of questions
can anybody tell me price comparison on running a 5kva gen on lpg v natural gas
and the 2nd one
how to install solenoid so that gen can start on petrol and gets converted on natural gas

Can we put load on generator during running period?
Which engine oil to use and which oil you recommends?

There is this port on carburetor is this for natural gas. correct me if I am wrong.

Is this new design head.
Actually I did not visit market with my father that's way asking.

Yup thats the same engine I have. I hope it serves you many years. Yes that outlet is for gas. You can put load no worries except for the fridge. Oil I use is Zic 10W40. Zic has an online home delivery of Oil as well. These days there are many fake copies in market which will ruin the generator. So be sure that oil is genuine.

This Head Design from Loncin is great. If u open the cover you can see completely different rocker arm design. My gen on this new engine is been running for more than a year now since April 2015. Its kept in open sky on third floor.

My generator has started to leak engine oil under the joint of engine and dynamo. Could it be the shaft seal? I hope engine will not need to open.

Also what are the reasons of slight rpm variation?

yes it can be shaft seal but a new gen should not be leaking. claim the warranty.
Slight rpm variation on gas can be adjusted on gas by adjusting the gas/ air mixture

Generator is not new. It's a few year old but used less. I mean when the ups is fine it serve as a backup. This season ups battery is down so it's in use.

yup thats the one. get a good quality shaft seal. not the ordinary Chinese one

For few days my generator would just stall after few seconds of starting. Would run fine on cranking again.
But today it refused too keep running. Would stall again and again.
When i started to check out the problem it got worse.
Changed the plug. Run for few minutes this time but again stalled. Adjusted the tappets also but problem remained.

Now it hesitates to speed up and misfires and back fires and randomly jerks and stalls... Finally it did some firing through exhaust...

Cam its cam for valves be the issue? As the ignition is happening at intake and st exhaust randomly.

Highly thankful if some memeber plz explain how to do gas setting of generator. Normally there are two screws on the kits. One is where gas enters the kit and second is at where gas exit for generator. Plz explain the function of both if any one know about it.

Can you check generator by removing AVR. Run it and reply here .

HI,

First I have not done any modification on Gaskit as my gen starts on Petrol and shifts on gas via ATS. Secondly if your gen is stalling increase the gas from gaskit the above T screw Anti clockwise. Also check if governor is working or not after adjusting the gas.

This modification is only to start Gen directly on Gas but it will leak gas when generator is OFF unless you have gas solenoid already installed in your gas line.

Gastech have made a gaskit which easily starts gen on GAS. Maybe you can opt for their gaskits. It has good reviews.

Is this t screw?
The t screw is also used for setting load. Correct me if I am wrong. Is the rpm changes when we adjust this t screw? Or rpm only changes when we adjust this screw.
