the cheapest, realiable ATS with fitting cost minimum Rs15000, and with the help of this thread i did this all by my self for just Rs3500 my dad gave me "shabashi" for this :)...

when electricity goes it had a variable to set the time after which you want your generator to start up,then a variable to control time after which you want to put load on generator,,

when electricity come then again a variable to control time to put load back on wapda electricity..
then work the variable which will let the generator run for (setted time) without any load then turn off the generator..

and when starting there are two variables that control self timing and delay between two startup tries...
and if generator doesn't in 3 tries then ATS will not try again to start it...

I have a KIPOR Genset of 10KVA, the engin of which has completely failed. now i want to use its Alternator with other Car engin. However, KIPOR Alternator is 3000rpm whereas car engin ideal rpm is arround 1500. Now plz any body let me know which engin is best to fix with this 3000rmp Alternator.

yes you can fit that alternator with car engine ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,to control the RPM you have to fit a mechanical or electrical governor with engine ,,,,,,,,,,,3000RPM is not too much and wont harm the engine , but i wont recomend you to do all that ,,,,,,,,,its a long tedious job and also costly , running cost of that engine will also be high ,,,,,,,,,,batter buy a new petrol generator of 6.5 Kw or 10 Kw ,

nope ,,,,,,,,you need atleast 5 Kw

its hard to find , you can search on city sadar road rwp,,,,,,,batter buy a carb with built in gas kit which originally comes with green power gas generators ,,,,,,,,,,,,check its pic in previous posts ,,,,,,,,,,

yes i have just check that , its a nice idea and will work ,,,,,,,,,,,,i have once seen similar mod but that guy put a car centeral locking motor in place of that screw which help in priming/choke the gas kit ,,,,,,,,,,

thats nice , change the first oil after 20 hours ,,,,,,,,,and if its already filled with oil from factory then replace it right now,,,,,,,,,,,,because factory fill them with gear oil and then test them,,,,,,,,,,mostelly they drain the oil before shiping but some times they forget,,,,,,,,,,,the one i buy was filled with gear oil,,,,,,,,,,,,,,you may need to replace the battery as well,,,,,,,,,,batter fit a new battery in your car and fit that old car battery in generator,,,,,,,,,,,it will last for atleast 3 years ,,,,,,,,,,,,,

1: hour meter Rs 400
2: 2point 80Amp relay Rs 500
3: 500watts ups box Rs 300
4: ATS card Rs 2500
5: misc. (switch, thimbles, screws, relay etc) Rs 100

total =Rs 3800

Thanks. What are you using now? Using it at half-choke setting? The problem with half-choke setting for me is it doesn't really start at half-choke unless generator is already used few hours ago (as in it's hot). So I have to adjust it every time or sometimes even have to start on petrol and then switch slowly.

sure sir i'll change it...PLZ recommend me best oil for it... should i use Zic A+ ?
i noted when we were filling it with oil the oil was very thin just a little bit thick from water..

btw which generator at last u bought?
and how about ur ngkit?? and starting with ur ats?and do change ur new generators sparkplug with denso one.. for better performance..

for now im not going to use it on NG may b nxt year..
my engine is under Warranty for 6months and warranty will be void if i install NG kit on it...
and about the plug...i'll change it after some time as for now it is staring on half crank. MASHALLAH

sorry you cant run .. minimum u need is a 5kva
generator..

Plz sujjest me that can i run 3 lahori cooler ( watr cooler ) on that 3000 watts gen set, and what is the load of one cooler.

Also sujjest me a good brand of engine( should be fuel ecnomical ) for my 1.5 ton ac + home load.

^^yes you can use 3water coolers on 3000watts generator easily...

i guess one cooler will be of 400watts maximum...so running 3 coolers on generator will not be a problem
