i have JD generator, i have used it for about 200 hours. it has given me a problem that it is running smoothly, starting and stopping normally but it is not giving any power output. also not showing any voltage on generator voltmeter. i have checked the current on the wire that is coming from the generator into the circuit breaker of the generator, it is not giving any current (means problem is not with circuit breaker). any help please.

check out if u have got any fuses..
AVR goes out too at times due to overload...
it might be avr's fault ...

Could be fault of Capacitor or Brushes or AVR.

Did u note that this TRICOM is saying to use NG from the very first minuite of operation and no need to use petrol once a week/month.. doesnt it sound good.

Also, JASCO & OES (CUMMINS) are here in the market for quite sometime now and i think they are doing good business.. They seem to have upper grade chinese gen sets. Though maybe selling at a bit high price, but that maybe because of their name

look for some good brand generator which comes with this kind of carb , it has built in gas kit and dont need any external gas kit ,

how to adjust governor lever and whats the function of governor in the generator ?

my gen is open again,during running my gen governer grari broke while gen was still runnng it ruined all the engine,metal and plastic pieces of governer grari damaged the cylinder block ,connecting rod,so i decided to change them all bcs cylinder block was beyond repairing,block cost me 1600 and taiwan road 500,governer grari 250,now i have assembled the gen again and so far its working fine,will post detailed pic soon

thats really very unfortunate,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,you havent gave a look at its condition during engine overhaulling ?................its made of teflon plastic and it cant break the metal,,,,,,,,,,,i think the whole gear inlcuding its shaft with which it is mounted on the engine block gave away,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,may be thats because of improper governor lever adjustment ,,,,,,,,,,,,,

pull the denmo cover and check the voltage on the 2 points i mention in pic,,,,,,,your generator is just 200 hours used and carbon brushes may last atleast 1000 hours ,,,,,,,,,but gave them a check as well ,,,,,,,,,,,,and at the end check the AVR , you cant bench test it ,,,,,,,so the only way is to buy a new one and fit it,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Jiangsu Jiangdong ,,,,,,,,,,,,,one of the biggest factory in china who are making generator , water pumps , and many other things from scratch ,,,,producing all the spares on there own ,,,,,,,,,,,,and most of the generator you see in market are of JD company but with different brand names,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,i have visited this mega factory many years before for submercible water pumps which used in boring

I again checked the market, and found Quadri Electronics just next to Elite. they are selling this kit for Rs. 3,000/- (seems reasonable to me). Also he has another microcontroller based kit, which he is selling for 4,200.

Quality wise it seems OK, and very similar to kit used by Sharo. Just bought it today, will install it on sunday. Also will be posting pictures.

did u bought the relay for change over switch or you will be using manual changeover switch .

oil leaking from tappet cover jan or from the breather pipe ? ............no solution if its leaking from breather pipe,,,,,,,,,,,have you check the governor gear inside the crank case ,,,,,,,,,,are you sure governor is working properlly ?>

my generator is giving sort of smoke visable , neither white nor black
and engine oil consumption is high

i had tried both Bush and Denso plugs ... but my generator plugs getting black from top every week and because of that generator starts after 3 to 4 try ... when i open plug and clean it with cloth than generator start at once ..... what issue making plug black from top ( the pont which we insert in generator body)

dude if no price issue then go for it ..
2nd here the main thing behind designing this homemade ats is..
cheap parts availability..after assembling u know each n every part of it there functions,so even if in future something goes wrong u can keep some of the parts in spare aswell... and it will be just a 10mins job to fix it or replace that part..

sharo.. he's using a really good ats circuit he got it for 2500 i guess..
with lot more options.. only u have to add is a big relay so it changes from main power to gen/gen power to main..
but u know agoodfriend bn using this ats from last more then 3 years now...
btw what are u using right now/ ups? its been so many days u asking about generators did u get any or still confused...
