Generator Engine Overhauling & ATS Dedicated Thread ( Advice , DIY, Repair ,Install)

dear this problem is been addresed many times,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,you have to make a venturi at the right place,,,,,,,,,,,,do the mod in gas kit ,,,,,,,,,,,,

i have got a 5kv generator running ...

problem is that it doesnt start on gas even aftr pushing the gass release/chole on the gas kit...i have to start on the petrol then wait for it to finish and aftr then slowly shifting to gas...

gurus can u tell me the reason of it??and most important the solution

your previous generator is of 196cc engine and with 2.5kw alternator,,,,,,,,,,this new one of green power cc2500 is of 168cc with 2 Kw alternator,,,,,,,,,,just watch carefully both engines and alternators look 100% similar but infect they are not,,,,,,,,,if posible share the pic of green power cc2500 carburator,,,,,,,,,,

Bought a new green power cc2500 generator today. As my previous generator was leaking a lot of oil from the place the dynamo attaches will fix it and use it as backup. Its PEAK power is 1900 watt. continuous power 1700W. It has a different square shaped silencer which is more silent compared to the cylinder one.

Now the thing is that a relative of mine has cc2000 Its body is smaller in size but same peak and running power of 1900w and 1700w. And same engine and same looking dynamo I previously has cc3000 Which looks EXACTLY like cc2500. Even the engine, dynamo and body size all same. and on it is written more power.

What I dont understand is do the shop keepers mess it up ripping off people?

2.04 units per hour,
If I assume the rate per unit is Rs 7.35/unit a/c to my bill then your consumption will be
2.04 x 7.35 = Rs 14.99 / hour.
See your previous bill and divide total amount payable by due date with total units for the month to get the average RS per unit for more accuracy.

Total gas charges for month = Rs 10239.19
Total units billed = 5.56 x 100 = 556 units for the month
avg gas chargers= Rs 18.41 per unit
your generator consumption= 2.04 units per hour
therefore 2.04 x 18.41 = Rs 37.5564 per hour :o

how many hours do you run your generator??

You can reduce your bill by RS 3000/month if you add another meter and use one meter for 300 units and then switch over to another meter.

no its written on bill i think its standard for every province Rs 165.83 i have also used in calculation

As I mentioned, for those of you who are new to this, every piece of information on this entire thread is of extreme importance. If you're absolutely committed to build your own ATS and Changeover, try to carefully go through each page of this thread. For me, this was a "hobbyist" kind of a project which I simply took up as a challenge for myself and it turned out to be successful. It was a great experience overall. And finally, the contentment you get for building something with your own hands and seeing it successful, is just an unexplainable feeling!
