@Xulfiqar pls shed your great knowledge on the RLO and S pin alternator. What is the difference between these two? And also tell that is RLO pin alternator is compatible for GLI 2012 1.3 in which S pin alternator was installed by indus. Now S pin alternator is not available here.

Indeed more than 1lac is quoted by indus and other importers. While I don't find that part numbers in junkyard. Don't know what I do. For instance, I installed RLO pin alternator of 2nz-fe engine. No S pin alternator available now.

I have seen such type of alternators available at Maalik self works at Karachi (Last traffic signal of Gulshan i.e. Junction of Gulshan 13-D & Gulshan-e-Shamim)

if you look for an item with exact ternminology, you may not find it. Look for 4 pin round connector toyota alternator at junk yards then probe the specs. or you can ask for 4 pin wala 2011 Karolla ka altanaytar

You are right. However, there is a difference of just one pin. The indus installed the generator with S pin, while all 4 pins alternators of Toyota in junkyard are either with C or RLO pin. The C pin is of old corolla(2003-2008) while RLO pin is of japanese axio/fielder/auris/Corolla (2009-2014). I installed the RLO pin generator took off the same engine came in the container. I assumed that S pin is connected with ECU, therefore, RLO might be working if I assumed correctly. Furthermore, I can't able to found the diagram of the alternator to ECU connection. Moreover, case study of RLO is very rare on the google. If you help me in this regard, it will be much appreciated.

S pin goes to battery. Feedback for voltage regulator inside the alternator. Internal regulator alternator.
Rlo/F/FR are the field control pin that goes to ecu. It controls the field of alternator by pwm signals. Thus output is controlled by ecu depending upon the load and power.
C pin is also used by ecu put on 2 modes either max or minimum output voltages.

I totally agree with you. I already studied that link. I don't understand what is the purpose of installing the S pin alternator by indus in GLI 1.3 2012 when It is not going to battery. The alternator 4-wires are going to the ecu and no S wire from alternator reaches to battery except B+ wire from alternator and engine power up wires. There is no sensor near to the battery. It is assume that RLO is smart version of S which both are control by ECU in GLI 2012 1.3. what's your opinion on it.

C pin is actually replaced by S in external regulator voltages.
S is fused with battery.
Because Internal regulator needs output voltages feed back to regulates it. A close loop system you can say. In case of external regulator ecu is doing everything so it doesn't need S pin.

Exactly! You are talking about AlT-S 7.5amp fuse. So how RLO pin alternator works with S wire which is fused with battery via ALT-S?

Just like honda. FR and Rlo are similar thing. Hondas without eld got 3 pin alternator. When you install 4 pin alternator in them ( as shown in pic ) you let the FR pin open. Alternator will work on max output mode.

Sir! In my car, there are 4 pins in the wire named as L, IG, M, S. I installed denso alternator with pins named as L, IG, M, RLO. The alternator is not work on max output mode as you said, but controlling the charging voltage upon load via RLO seeing the condition of battery.
The curious thing is that how RLO is working with S-pin wire. I didn't find answer of this on the internet. Some forums said RLO is smarter version of S and working like S. But unable to find documented evidence on this.

No need for sir.
Here alternator is not a confusing bit, how ecu is controlling it that is the question. If ecu is sending pwm signals it means ecu is actually for this alternator.

Yeah your question is really important in this situation and literally I am researching on this question. However, I didn't get any clue how ECU is controlling the RLO pin and sending the pwn signal and by which pins of ECU also responsible for these functionalities.
