Grande 2019 fuel average in city

This is absolutely normal. Its 1800cc, when it doesn't get to breathe, this is the consumption it will return. In Islamabad traffic, it does 12 to 12.5 local

bhai jaan 1800cc engine consumes much more fuel on idle or traffic jam
i was stuck in traffic few days back and my avg dropped to 7km/ltr
same car gives 14-15 on isb highway

Here is your fuel economy if you keep it at such speeds within city.
7km/l idling
20-30km/h = 8km/l
40-50 10km/l
60-70 11km/l
80 12-13km/l

Highways
100km/h = 19-20km/l
110 17-18km/l
120 15-17km/l

I have been driving 2016 1.8cvti for over 200k kms now.

Btw speed is not always 20 to 30, it varies between 20 to 50, but 50 for very short range like 1 min max

Other people are somewhat correct I will say, I do own a grande and a gli 1.3.In cities with ac turned on and if your numbers are correct Id say it isn't what it should be. Even with frequent breaking and 20-30 km/h it should give you around 9-10 average not below. I suggest getting your car tuned,replace air filter and check for any leaks in the air pipes as I also experienced it,and if you want to get the fuel injectors and rail checked and cleaned.and for highway driving use high octane, I tested it. The performance is better and the cost is a little cheaper.

Grande steering is hard as compared to civic or even Alto . If you want to smooth the steering little bit, increase tyre pressure to 33.

Incorrect, in stop go traffic, grande doesn't do over 8 kml, neither does civic

Disagree, it easily does 9km/L in stop and go traffic. Regularly do it on congested roads.

What kills the average further is if you keep the engine running when idling. Stopped somewhere for a few mins for any reason? Switch off the engine.

Another thing that ruins the average is if you take a long time to “warm up” the car at cold start. Don’t do that and it’s not needed, as long as using 0w20 to 5w40 oil grades. Start the car, wait 20-30 seconds and start driving gently. In winters may give up to a minute max.

@zeerabbani1234 as mentioned above, don’t idle for long periods and if you haven’t used a fuel system cleaner do it. Don’t use hi octane fuel it’s not meant for these engines and may ruin things in the long run. Do occasionally go on the highway and give FULL PEDAL for a few kilometers as it’s healthy for the car and cleans up any gunks .

7.5 is absolutely unacceptable for a Grande so is 8, in congested driving 9km/L is fine.

Variates city to city, location to location. It places where its proper stop go traffic, these cars don't do over 8, tried and tested many cars, zero meter ones included.
Asking someone to throw money at a car trying to fix something that isn't broken isn't right. Once all the variables are understood and all the facts are out. Then you can advise about these things
