Grande noise on acceleration with Toyota Petron 20w50 oil

I have purchased Grande CVTI 16 model climate control jack knife version. Car is having 60k on ODO and previous owner have just done major services on 60k from Toyota + oil change. Everything was included in service e.g. tuning, throttle clean, Cat clean, oil filter clean, disk pads etc.

The oil poured in is 20w50 Petron from Toyota. I am not satisfied with this oil as the car gives too much noise when it goes on high revs also not giving good average. With my calculation its giving
almost 9.5 on long as well in city mix drive. I want to change engine oil to some good 5w30 grade oil. I cannot afford to put Liqui Moly or Mobil 1 as these are both expensive oils plus i want to not go beyond 5k drain interval.

Please suggest some good oils. I am also thinking of totachi 5w30. Please suggest that engine flush is mandatory before changing to any other oil ? Dealer of totachi said that i must do this and it will cost 1600 rupees extra plus 4l price is 5600. Any other oil in this price range.

go for 5W30
never ever 20W40

20w50 is already poured in by previous owner. its 2000 km used now and i want to change to any other oil on next oil change perhaps on 3500.

Petron to bnda Cultus main na sakay sir. Cheap third class oil hai. Change to 5w-30 quarts 9000 and inshallah situation will be fine

what should be drain interval for Quartz 9000 ? Also Can you please guide where in Lahore i can get original one. I want to make sure it should be from original resource. Thanks

Total Quartz 5W30. Drain it at 6000-7000kms with genuine oil filter.

In Lahore, u can order from daraz from total official store. Other than that u can buy from makki oil store. Do check the packing seals. I prefer from daraz as its company operated online store. Interval is confirmed as 7000-8000 by many members here. I myself used it first fime in Corolla ans so far 2200 is driven..oil experience so far has been excellent in terms of drive smoothness

@fastian04 how much it cost you for 4L/3L ? I have heard mix reviews about Makki oil store.

Someone suggest to get it from Total Pump adjacent to LDA complex in johar town. Are you using genuine oil filter or local ?

That pump is authentic..daraz is easiest as we can get 4L and 1L sealed packed m total officially sells them ..9000 is packed in Singapore. Keep the remaining 800ml sealed and then reuse at next changed after 6 months/8000kms.. whichever comes first

@fastian04 what is average in city and on long route you are getting with this oil ? On high RPMs like 4,5 how is engine noise ? mince screams too much.

That pump is whete i get my 90% refills. Always the best in terms of drive and mileage

M not sure about ur current engine situation but m getting 10.90 as average in full traffic/heavy congestion in day time drive..stop and go.. Lahore. Highways gave me 15-16kmpl on 140-150 as average speed bhai.. engine is pretty noiseless..mine is 8800 driven btw

That's impressive figures. Mine engine is in perfect condition as car is driven with extreme care with first owner. Engine response is perfect as i also have driven Facelift Grande of my friend and in terms of acceleration feels no difference.

You can try pouring sae90 gear oil and this noise might go away always remember "mota ail acha onda aae"

Grande is impressive in mileage..overall. Islamabad residents get even better figures due to less traffic congestion..plus I don't do hypermilling..1.8 was bought for a reason..not to be driven like 660cc so I don't have that light foot as well

@saboor73 as of now i am not concerned very much about gear oil. The noise comes from engine and i got the feeling that its under stress with this bkwas mineral oil that toyota guys has poured in.
