Grande noise on acceleration with Toyota Petron 20w50 oil

yeah that's true, i shifted from Gli 1.3 due to underpower issue and doesn't worry about mileage. Even with heavy foot i am getting almost same average as getting with 1.3 auto.

I switched from city 1.3 manual to 1.8 Corolla and never felt any surprising difference in my daily fuel consumption..i was indeed afraid but actually on average i got 1kmpl difference...so nothing really

Brother I would suggest Total Quartz 9000 Future Series 5w-30, preferably after engine flush. This oil is best for bucks.

You can buy it online from Daraz.pk Total Official online store, from company operated and maintained Total fuel stations with engine oil change facilities, or from Pakistan Oil Store in Badami Bagh, Makki Oil Store, etc. In any case, always ensure that engine oil is 100% genuine and original.

W.S. The drain interval can easily be 5-8,000 Kms, with genuine, OEM / Original Oil filter, and can be changed when oil becomes dirty, 6 months, or 5-8,000 Kms (whichever comes first).

The oil poured in is 20w50 Petron from Toyota.

Shahbashhh..... slow clapping..... 20w50 tou log fx nd mehru me dalte hain tjo 80s 90s k model wali hoti hain and some CNG wali gariya.

If I were you the first thing to do, change the engine oil before brushing my teeth. I dont have any experience with total oil but get jo dil chata hai ap ka get it to change with 5w30 fully synthetic oil.

Sir as i told, it was poured by Toyota when i haven't bought the car and it was with previous owner.

Since the day i knew its 20w50 i am also curios to change it asap. Well, any recommendation regarding oil other than Total will be appreciated.

If you wouldn't like to go for Total, then in reasonable categories; ZIC, Kixx, Shell, Caltex, Havoline, Chevron, etc. Are there, but these all may not offer 5w-30 fully synthetic.

In premium categories; Valvoline, Amsoil, Kendall, Mobil1, Liqui Moly, etc. are there, but again, here in our country, 5w-30 fully synthetic may not be available from any / all of these premium brands.

Yeah, I understand it was your previous owner. Do check with your CVT oil as well. I use ZIC X7 fully synthetic oil.

as of now i am not concerned very much about gear oil. The noise comes from engine and i got the feeling that its under stress with this bkwas mineral oil that toyota guys has poured in.

My car is 93000kms odometer today.
Cvt oil must be changed at 55000kms or 2 years. Go to toyota and ask them not to open pan. Just take empty oil box. Drain old oil in it and calculate amount. Pour same quantity of new oil. Toyota will never adjust gear oil level of your car if you will open pan coz gear oil level needs to be set at 38-44degrees.
Purchase cvt oil from partscentral lahore. There whatsapp number is: +923111571598. Purchase all other parts including filters from them. They sell orginal stuff only.

For engine oil, I would highly recommend you to go for 5w30 oil. Total 5w30 is value for money and would be pretty nice if you keep drain intervals 5000kms. For engine oil change take your own filter and go to total la town filling station johar town, right next to LDA building. They will pour exact quantity of 4.2L directly from drum which is cheaper. This is a company operated site.

How much it costs you for 4.2L and can you tell from where in Lahore to get original one? I am very concerned about oil originality. In my last car which is 1.3 Auto GLI i was using Zic 10w40 but not satisfied and used to drain it at 3500 although the person recommends to change it at 5k.

I am also considering to change CVT asap, i have noted your instructions. On some of threads, i read that there is a proper procedure to follow while changing CVT oil.

@haseeb.basharat bhai on cold start in morning engine gives more noise, which i think surely due to this thick oil. its now 2000 km used. Should i use it till 3000-3500 or change it asap?

I am not getting good mileage and not satisfied. Everything related to service has already been done by Toyota Walton and i have the bills and receipts in car. The response and acceleration is also fine. Only mileage and extra noise from engine are my concerns.

is it safe to use 5w30 oil at motorway high speeds in summers? I am talking in context of that ambient temperature chart which people usually post in support of thicker oils.

Summer has nothing to do with oil grade. U can even use 0w-20 if recommended by manufacturer...no need to worry. Oil breaks down as per its quality

Manual for us Corolla states 0w-20 ans US is hotter than Pakistan in some states
