Hello folks, let me explain this tunnnnning thing... Normally Desi ustaads sup raaay thraaatle cleaner in throttle body and revving the engine to moon and back, unfortunately in hondas they're unable to rev it past 4k rpm but they supraaay it to clean it.
Now what actually happens is people in Pakistan don't obey maintenance schedule & they don't replace the air filters which results in air filters either bogging down the air flow in to the engine and in some cases it results in broken or damaged air filters which allow dust getting in to throttle body & throttle valve gets clogged on edges.
In hondas this restriction makes the response abit sluggish or jerky and usually throttle actuator or throttle body code appears. In Toyota the car never becomes jerky it becomes heavy on fuel slightly dropping the calculated economy on cluster and also in real...
Now this can be overcomed by the procedure.
1) remove the battery terminals
2) remove the throttle body
3) stuck the joiner or blocker in coolant passages so no coolant overflows from throttle lines.
4)use a good throttle valve cleaner, I prefer liquimoly throttle cleaner, or any basic contact cleaner can be used to clean the throttle valve.
5) reinstall the throttle body back
6) top up the coolant slightly
7) hook up a advanced obd2 scan tool, there is a special function known as throttle calibration. Follow the steps on scanner & you are done.
8)let the car warm up and see if the throttle is calibrated properly, improper throttle calibration or no throttle calibration in specifically honda, nissan, or any sensitive electric throttle system results in rpm getting stuck on 1200 and while you switch on lights or ac rpm jumps to 1200 or so. It should be below 1000 and should go up and down freely with the drop and push of throttle paddle.
This usually enhances the response of throttle actuator resulting in low foot easy peesy drive like it used to be earlier... Now the key is to install a genuine oem air filter so you don't need to do this procedure until atleast 40-60k km and always replace filter on time to prevent from this step.
