@haseeb.basharat bhai my grande is having trouble in fuel mileage. I have been noticing it from quiet a time. In my last trip it gives me 12km/L. The total distance is around 334 kilometres out of which 260km is on motorway with on cruise of 120 km/h speed and rest 75 km is on gt road. My plugs are just 15k driven tuning has been done almost 1000kms ago and i am using genuine air and oil filter. Oil is total 5w30 and drain interval is 5000km. The car has no issue with pick and acceleration. Tyres are new almost 5000km driven and i used to have 30psi pressure. I am not understanding at all what is the issue as nothing looks faulty. Car is having 95k on odo. The average meter on mid shows 14.5km on motorways. I have been using pso and total petrol. Please provide your suggestions. TIA.

Are you noticing this issue after plug change? If not then check wheel alignment first and the get its catalytic converters checked. When did you change cvt oil?

Wheel alignment is fine. Cat was cleaned almost 40k kms ago. Cvt oil was refreshed almost 23k kms ago. Plugs were changed around 20km ago. Tuning has been done recently with throttle service. This average i got when refilling from pso pump. But I haven’t felt any difference when filling from total LDA pump even.

which part(s) are service items in a Toyota TB as per following graphical attachment

besides "petrol sup_ray washing" and playing phantom with the electronic drive of butterfly what else is called TB service ?? and how does it affect (effect) engine performance.

Mechanics usually clean this butterfly only so does dealerships.

Till now never read in any service manual to take the throttle off and give it a gussal or take the o2 off and give it a gussal etc. as sir Xulfiqar always say.
Air filter is there to do the cleaning for us.
If it's taken care according to service manual one never need to worry about throttle body.

IMO, i think as normally people use super fuel due to which black carbon deposits begin to clog in butterfly and therefore needs cleaning. Pouring hi octane can be used for cleaning however that will cost more. So after 10k kms i think better to give throttle a ghusal.

Hi octane is not a “cleaning fuel” or a “better fuel”

Its a “different fuel”

In multi port injection fuel is injected inside the ports not on throttle body. Carbon deposit are formed after combustion. High octane will cause more deposits then normal fuel.

Corolla user manual does not have a mainteance schedue for the throttle body.

I have owned Corollas since 2005 and I have never gotten TB service done on rides. One I drove for 134,000 kms and the current one is 53K kms.
