Head assembly swap of 2nzfe e 1nz fe

Aoa respected pakwheelers. Im owning 10 xli (manual) . Its burning oil at the moment. I want to get it swapped its 2nz fe with 1 nz fe. My mechanic says only head assembly enough to get the swap done. Kindly guide me the prerequisites to get the successful swap dome. (will i b needing ecu/wiring /exhhaust line change)?

For only head assembly swap no wiring alteration will be required. It would be a simple swap.

Only assembly swap to 1NZ will not require the wiring or ecu upgradation but don't expect it to behave and perform like 1NZ. For that actual performance you also need to replace the ECU tlfrom 2NZ to 1NZ. Wiring harness are compatible with each other.

You can swap 1.5 as well it would work well with 2NZ ecu.

it just work, there's no Well in it.
@umairkhurshid get the head assembly with injectors, intake manifold and ecu you're good to go.

He us just installing the head assembly on old ecu wiring and intake manifold.

Injectors are same on both 1& 2NZ.

He don't want to change the other stuff.

Yeah I forgot that.
How injectors can be same? If colour is same that doesn't mean that have same dwell time, duty cycle and Cc. Manufacturers always keep duty cycle 30~40% (even less) so if they used same injectors they have to over clock it which they never do.
If he will not change the other stuff then he would always lack in power compare to 1nzfe.

Both have same part numbers on the injectors.

Duty cycle is maintained by the ECU it's the fuel map inside the ecu which operated it's for how long the injector would be open to deliver fuel for optimum burn.

Yes it's mapped inside ecu depending upon dwell time,cc, spary pattern and fuel pressure. So you know both never can have same map so how they can have same duty cycle?

both of them had different duty cycles mate.

1NZ and 2NZ ecu maps are nit same.

As i live in Peshawar which is planet of corollas. I hv seen many cars with this type of engine swap and getting awsome milage figure..go for it and u feel redundant so look for a 2nz assembly

Can i het my previous. Ecu remapped or tuned as per AFR EGR?? MAGIC MOTORS??

so sir they must have different injectors. and they are. even colour is different.

these ecu's are Fix hard coded cannot be tuned so don't waste money
get the head, block with internals, intake manifold (with throttle body) and exhaust manifold, Ecu and injectors.
you can use old wiring as pinouts are same, Ac compressor , alternator, starter and transmission, i may forget something.
