Head assembly swap of 2nzfe e 1nz fe

They have same injectors, same fuel pumps, same fuel rails and same plugs. Same is the case with 1zrfe, 2zrfe and 3zrfe. Toyota design there cars on similar platform. If engine is of same series than 80% things are similar to each other.

Guy who created this thread, go for a clean 1nzfe with ecu change and complete wiring.

Is it possible to swap 2nzfe by 1nzfe only engine assembly?While keeping the transmission of 2nzfe?

AoA. I have 1.3 corolla x auto with 2nzfe engine. I changed only head assembly to 1nzfe. Engine fitted bolt by bolt. ECU, wiring harness, injectors, gear box were not changed. I felt considerable improvement in pick, power and consumption

I have a 1nz-fe that was fitted with the 2nz-fe intake manifold. The car burns gas poorly and the acceleration is not as it should be. I have to be pressing the acceleration harder to get power. Changed the injectors from blue to green, change o2 sensors, coolant temperature sensor, etc. Can someone advise if the 2nz-fe intake manifold would be the culprit?

Change the intakes and look at the ecu as well. It should be of 1nzfe.

Is the intake manifold and throttle body different for the 1nz-fe and 2nz-fe? Are there any any differences in both?

Yes manifolds are different and provide different air flow.
