No bro, I don't know a single trusted mechanic who'd go to that kind of length to disassemble the headlights entirely and diligently check everything. I just got it to a dealership, the guy came and took a quick look and said my lights look buffed and there's no hint of chrome in it.
You're right. The lights don't look shiny at all. They're very dull. I put the car right next to my friend's City 2015, and the difference was significant. His headlights were shining like pearls, and mine was just projecting a dull beam like a basic flashlight.
I'm not happy with the result of both the low beam and the high beam. They're both weak af. I'm not even asking for something extra. I just need normally operating lights that can let me watch the road.
I don't have a pic, but I can take one if it helps. But I guess you're right. I have to replace the headlights. I wish I'd checked for things like these before buying the car. I'm such a noob.
Could you direct me to a place where I can possibly find OEM lights at good rates? I don't even know how to check replacement lights and make sure they don't already have the same problem.
It's such a small problem and yet the solutions are so complicated + expensive, it's making me miserable.
