Heat up problem Honda Acty Van 2010

Hi All,

Well i recently installed a used catalytic converter in my car as its impossible to find a new one in Pakistan for Honda Acty Van 2010.

Then my mechanic gave it Wilita Service to clean it.

The problem which i'm facing since a while its heatup problem when car is not moving and ac is turned on then in 10minutes its shoed up the heatup sign, and in moving car after 1hour or so,

• Recently he serviced the Throttle body.
  Change the engine oil to Ptt Performa synthetic 5w-30
• Abro Oil Treatment
• Wilita service to cataytic converter and scan the car for the issues nothing showed up.
• Remove the air from radiator.
• Change the Coolant
• Abro Water remover add in the fuel tank
• Check the Thermostat good and clean.
  But problem remain same with AC on idle car showed up heatup sign within 10 minutes.

What else need to be checked?

On highway its doing the same but after an hour or so, what i need to do to fix this problem.

Please suggest.

Then its must be the water body. Which is not circulating the water properly

What coolant are you using,

if the van is on auto fan check the auto fan switch is working

Its Abro anti freez something like this.
Below are the complete details which i was using since a year but heat up problems remains there.

In feb i flushed the radiator using the Abro flush and then use this coolant but it didn't make any difference.

And i think due to heat up issue car is also making effects on the car plugs they are also turning it to black in just 4500km im using denso irradium platinum once...

Its called water pump actually....you will need to replace it

Is radiator fan on auto or manual?

Yes fan is working on both the cases either without AC which is manual and with AC which is auto.

Ok what would be the cost of this water body pump part.

Fan need to be auto in both cases

Water pump cost varies wrt engine .... whats ur engine model/type name.....usually bonnet ke niche ya phr door side pillar pe likha hota hai.... wo model/type note krke kisi well known parts market mein pta krlein........ (for eg. Meri mira ka engine type "EF-SE" tha)

Aur baaqi water/coolant hoses bhi check krein ke kahin se choke to nhi

Radiator toh abhi last saturday mechanic naay check keyah thaa air wagaerah nikal kerh tho pani kaa flow thaa as Honda Acty kaa engine peechay haai tho engine hood open kerh k woh air nikal raha thaa tho woh nikal gaey they. In the end yahe kah raha thaa abh radiator nikal kerh sevice kara k daykhtay haai masla haal hota haai yah nhn...

Dosra mechanic kah raha hai service naa karaey yaah radiator day k maah app ko Qabli manga dooh gaa woh fit kerh lain masla hal ho jaey gaa...

Tho yah water body kiaa part of radiator haai yah woh alag say check kerh wana paray gee.

I am assuming aapki car 100k km se upar chal chuki hai

Kuch black rubber k hoses/pipes radiator se in aur out bhi jaatay hai, wo chk kiay?

Water pump usually timing belt ki taraf, engine ki side pe laga hota hai jo coolant ko engine ke around flow krata hai for cooling....ye radiator ka part nhi hota.....isko check krne ke liye baahar nikalna parta hai which may take some time

Agar ye car shuru se apke paas hai aur lakh km se upar chal gai to behter hai change water pump

Alright well i haven't change the cap of the radiator its intact which came up with this van, I'm using its since 2015 and it was fresh import at that time never driven to karachi, so in Pakistan i'm the first owner of it.

Ok, so i will drained out this coolant and find the honda one, can you recommend any good place from where i can get it?

Few are saying change the radiator and installed 2 fan radiator blah blah..

Ok, yani water body ka pump tho change karaon in addition coolant be honda yah caltex kaa use karo plus radiator ki service kara looh takay ager koi pipe mah blockage haai tho clear ho jaey ager in sabh k badh b masla aeey tho radiator change karanay ki taraf jaon right?

100k say uper he chal chuki haai, Honda Acty 2010 ka model haai mayray pass 2015 say haai first time hum nay he issy use keyah thaa.

Isnt it possible that water pump may have deteriorated enough over time and lost its efficiency....its bearings may be failing.... its already 190k on odo if its true

You have a rear engine front radiator setup.

There will be multiple bleed ports on car for coolant. Use all of them.

Usually these cars are filled with vacuum system to fill coolant, if you have driven it overheated, the engine headgasket is toasted.

Please don't change any part until and unless you are 100% sure it is defective. Check following things:
- Is thermostat valve functioning? If it's stuck in closed position it will stop flow of coolant and your car will heat up.

-Is coolant flowing? Once the engine has warmed up you will see the coolant moving through the open radiator cap. If coolant is still then either thermostat valve is stuck in closed position or your water pump is not working.

Changing radiator or making fan auto is not the immediate solution.

Ok, well couple of time i have noticed that when car is heat up then coolant is coming out from the radiator and the resort bottle level goes up to.

Last week mechanic checks the Thermostat and said its ok no issue in that, he cleans the throttle body with foam sprayer and remove the air from the radiator.

According to him something is wrong with radiator grill its need service so air can pass through and he also said might be the fan is issue but he didn't said anything about water body so will check that part to.

So now i think first i need to ask him to check the water body pump, then check thermostat again after this check the radiator pipes any leakage or blockage if nothing found then will asked him to do a radiator service and will see if the issue again showed up then go for the radiator change, does it make sense?

Humm...well mjy is cheez kaa idea nhn thaa as first time gari lee theey 2015 mah.

Tho aikh relative k mechanic ko sath lay gaya thaa us naay jo bataya woh lay lii, jabh say abh taq issue as such koi major nhn ayaa haai yaah heat up issue he haai jo randomly ataa haai kabhi jaldey kabhi dayrh say.

Tho yah resolve ho jaey tho baqey engine wise tho smooth haai as 3 sal say toh kuch idea ho gayah haai use kertay kertay.

If you take care of ur engine/car it can lasts 400k 500k kms.....i think Mr ABC1237 need to be aware of the mileages clocked in cars outside Pakistan are double triple than what we drive here.....ye to yahan ke small minded illiterate mechanics ki waja se engines dont last 100k even, and people have made it a lakeer that that engines cant last more than 100k

We have two 2006 civics in office sitting at 250k kms...1 probox at 350k km... Hijet at 195k....2007 xli and gli at 200k kms

Like i said pls focus on what seniors have advised you to be done, and come back with further info and status.
