Im not using AC .. AC doesn't work.. It takes more than 20 minutes to reach half mark when driving

I keep the car start and rev engine time to time but even after 30 min it didn't heat up.. temperature guage touched centre ( where fan starts automaticaly ) just once or twice

Install T-Stat, it is a dual purpose valve. At one end it steps the water from flowing through the rad while the engine is cold. When the engine reaches it operating temperature, the valve opens while blocking the engine by pass. Without the T-stat your car might remain cold for sometime but in hot weather when it reaches the operating temp, some of the hot coolant will continue to circulate within the engine since the by pass route is open. The hot coolant which may never reach the rad for cooling will eventually result in over heating.

Plus, your engine might be a lot hotter than what you see on the gauge since without tstat your guage might never show the correct reading.

Please install it back and ask that mechanic to close his shop and go back to repairing bicycles.

1. Install thermostat (get a new one since your old thermostat might be faulty)
2. Use engine coolant, not just plain water.

and for GOD sake use good coolant atleast you have EFI bro try to keep it mantained or it`ll b ruined.

water body which is caled water jacket? i have replaced two water jackets one was small and one was long with a pipe

The thermostats job is to maintain a minimum operating temperature of the engine. Which happens to be about 90C, Your cars ECU is also programmed to run the best at this temperature.

How is this temperature maintained.

The thermostat blocks flow of coolant until the coolant gets about 85 or 90C (stamped on stat) - it then opens up allowing coolant to move through the radiator and maintain a good working temperature.

Your mechanic's lack of understanding is going to cost you serious money.

Goda on water body is called water jacket.its not itself a waterbody/water pump.

it also means it is needed in summer as well coz autofan will start when temperature guage will reach half and temp guage will reach half early when car will have thermostat valve.

yes - that is correct and a point to note in most modern engines is that the thermostat housing has a bypass port too which the thermostat can block when it opens up. This setup makes the thermostat work in 3 modes.

1 = valve full closed = coolant moves only in engine, head and heater from the bypass port
2 = valve partial open = coolant moves around in engine mixed with some cooled radiator return coolant.
3 = valve fully open = bypass port is blocked - all coolant moves from engine to radiator.

If you remove this valve the coolant will short circuit into the bypass port as it will like to take the path of least resistance because coolant does not flow naturally in the radiator it needs to be pushed through it

if the radiator is not able to suck it back from the expansion bottle then there is a leak in the little overflow pipe or the cap or somewhere in the system itself.

The principle is vacuum, its generated once the system cools down and proceeds to suck it from the bottle, if for some reason there is a leak - even a pin hole leak - the vacuum wont be able to suck liquid - instead it will suck air from the leak.

Looks like you have done all the damage already.

Kindly bleed your system, replace thermostat, add coolant. Buy FUCHS 4 ltr. It is available at Hascol pumps for 13-1400.
Drive and see if it overheats.
If it does, check head gasket. It is one of the classic reasons for the system to not siphon water from overflow tank.
Also check the little pipe that connects rad and overflow tank.

Bring the system back to its factory specs. Sometimes just putting back T-stat will solve many problems. As xulfiqar mentioned, the coolant might not even travel through the radiator in the absence of tstat.

Few days ago, a friend's indus corolla was heating up. We flushed the system with liqui moly flush, added coolant and replaced T-stat. The mechanic was not ready to put the t stat back even though we went to him just for fitting as we did rest of the stuff overselves. Anyways prior to this whole operation, he was blowing steam from overflow tank and temp would climb up to upper quarter. Now he runs in the middle no matter how hot it is outside(with AC)
