Help needed! Buying a car

I called the guy to check the car but he back out said changed his mind and not selling it. I also checked the pakwheels ads for islamabad register cars and the people are demanding insane amount of money for used cars even more then the amount they were brought back in the day.

Bro my father purchased a brand new city in 2007 for almost 9 lakh. Almost. Kam thii 9 se. Now after driving it for more than 275,000 kms, we can get a million easily for it. That's your ruppee saying, kesa diya? Nahii diyaa acha?

I also remember City costed 1.6 million 2 or 3 years back. Now Cultus costs that much. It's really getting hard now. Civic Turbo got discontinued. It was worth 3 million back in 2016. Now, if Honda launches it, it'll be 3.5 millions for a freaking Civic!

Hahahahaa bouhat acha diya aisa diya ke samaj he nahe ayee its sad but true. I sold mazda carol last month for 1 lakh less brought it in 2013 its was great car drove it for 5 years and 40,000 km on meter. I wish i knew it before selling atleast i would have asked for same amount as i brought it for anyways whats done is done.

How was your experience with Mazda Carol? I mean what were the good things about it? Milage, comfort, pick, practically, spare parts, etc.

In my opinion, go for:
Cultus (only if wanna buy new): Fuel efficient, easy to maneuver, cheap maintenance.

If you can spend some time and effort then go for some good used COROLLA GLI. Yes, its hard to find but you will never regret your decision. Its comfortable, cheap to maintain, rugged. You can get 2014 model for 17-18 lac.

Don't go for VITZ or Passo. They both have got Ghatya engine( Will runs for 45k kms and then you have to replace it) and Ghatya suspension.

If spending 21 lac for City the what will you get: only fuel efficiency, other than that Tin dabba wali body, suspension jo har jaga beth jate hai, 11 saal purane shape, cannot seat 3 person in the bag comfortably)

no city has its own charm...the suspensions are a bit hard but the ride is super smooth....you cant imagine the joy of driving city on carpeted roads....corolla is rough and tough car but it lacks that ride stability, handling and road grip at high speeds....that is something city has...

Hayat Umer, You can either have good comfort or good handling. Corolla is on one side in this aspect and city on the other side. On 90% of roads in Pakistan, the max you would drive is 110-120. Its my personal experience at that speed corolla never leaves the road. I accept that it horrible and scary at 140 or more. But no one normally drive at that speed.

Sir, you may be right. But, two close friends drive passo and they both are having issues regarding engine. I have personally driven both cars. Also, Suneel Munj in his owner review, quoted these words;" Han passo aur vitz main disposable engine ata hai, 50k kms ka bad engine change karna parta hai aur martek main 50-60 haraz ka engine mil jata hai. Main na khud apne 2 rishtedaron ko engine replace kar ke dia hai".
Thats his worlds, the man who is Toyota fan and specially imported cars.

It was one of the best cars i have had so far mileage was good around 16-17 since it was no hybrid the one come these days it was model 2008 import 2013, the comfort was best and pick was amazing the spare parts was a bit of an issue how ever since the suzuki make these models just with different branding like suzuki alto,nissan pino and mazda carol so the parts for all of them were the same. The only problem i had was the suspension they ain't build for our roads so i had to visit mechnic frequently for suspension work done other then that its was an amazing car.

you are misquoting - Lot of people including me are using this engine 1KR-FE (VItz) more than 150000+ and still engine is in perfect condition and no need to swap.

Vitz Suspension which you are saying as Ghatya , is considered far better than all local ones and imported ones (except few Top Luxury).

Ghatiya engine nahi , wo log hain , jo Pakistan me bohot common hain jo 3000kms pe change honay walay oil ko 5-7000 chalatay hain.

3 cylinder vitz engine makes noises even in fresh imports..if one can ignore he can remain satisfied:)
