guys, thuk thuk thuk sounds from right side of front suspension under heavy acceleration (1st n 2nd gear). What could it be? to me it sounds like it could be the front axle. the boots are fine, no grease leak etc. anyone?

I think it is the axle sound recently my mehran had same noise, It got so worse that when I used to brake the voice the voice used to come as well, but the sound was only in straight line not on turning. The boots in my mehran were fine and no leak as well but the axles gave up

My 2006 City gives severe jerk while driving and sometime engine gets switched off also with a patakha type sound as well. Showed to mechanic, He saying that replace CAM SENSOR. Any sensor with this name exist? He said for 1500rs.

Yes Another Steermatic(accord7362)

Same problem is with my car! But just a slight thing, it jerks on CNG only, patakha b cng pe maarti hai. Not on petrol, if check light isn't showing up, I doubt its a sensor. btw, this is a wrong post, post it in Honda city fan club.

In my case yes CV joint was dead. Its called KUPPA in desi language. The part of axle which goes inside the gear box is responsible for that. I think its called inner CV joint. The sound while turning is caused by outer axle joint one that is attached with the wheels. But In my mehran the sound came from the left side. If the sound is coming from right side than you can have a look at foundations as well maybe one of them has worn out and the engine is vibrating thus creating sound

A Fit 1.5S Speedo meter would be a better option
not sure if the wiring are same or not but it would look pretty cool

I would say to check all the ignition related parts like coils, spark plugs also check iacv and maf sensor also check tps. I dont think that cam sensor go off that easily. Also go for OBD II scanner scan

is it a very loud patakha? and car turns off after it? if yes, your ignition coils are dead! or atleast one of them is (out of 4 or 8, in case ur car is a steermatic or idsi) there are many sensors in the engine n may be a sensor is dead too.

im sick of all these sounds from suspension! i probably need everything new! i know its not a foundation. its a distinctive sound that is in perfect harmony with the sound of wheels turning and its more audible when it rains!!
as per my knowledge, the inside axle join is called KUPPA n the outer one is called GODDA.

If I were in your place I would have gone to bilal gunj and bought myself a front half cut. I would have negotiated with the seller that I only want suspension parts and he can keep engine, AC, Dash body parts etc. All the suspension parts mean entire steering assembly, Front shock, both control arms i.e chimtay,. Only these genuine parts will solve your problem. Otherwise if you go for 3s it will cost you 1lac easily and if you go for bilal gunj parts from half cut than they are good and will cost you around 50k but all the sound will be gone.

He ain't gonna let go of 1451 like I am not gonna give up my 9613. Its about a sort of attachment, my two cars, corolla and city have been there for me throughout my teenage, I learned driving with them, same is the case with 1451 and kaptaan sb. It isn't simply about the comfort in a car, its much more.

EXACTLY the same issue with my car! Not jerks on petrol and no check light.

Its going for cng kit cleaning tomorrow, I hope things will improve. The patakhay suck! :S

Now let me get the things straight. Your car is alright on petrol so rule out the coils and other things, the problem is only with things related to CNG. The problems can be
1 Oil in kit, get it cleaned
2 advancer emulator faulty or not calibrated. If its faulty change it or go for recaliberation. There is a thread on pakwheels for that
3 air filter clogged to nothing, change it
4 May be there is some leakage around the CNG venturi which is allowing extra air to enter
Do all these and hopefully the problem will resolve
