that has already been answered but i ll like to point out one thing that makes me have 2nd thoughts about new city.the cabin space is far less then idsi, im 6' and my head touches the roof if seated on the rear seat.leg room on back is fractionally better then idsi but its much cramped at from if compared to idsi.well, i shudnt say cramped, its enough for me to sit comfortablly, but idsi gives me more space then needed

There is a seat cover shop in F10 Islamabad. Its near Sufi restaurant. A friend of mine has bought seat covers from them for his Gli and he is satisfied. They stitched the seat covers right there on car seats, it took them around 3 hours.

Guys pls share ur city's average on CNG n petrol.

What should be the optimum Avg on CNG n petrol.

Mine city 2000 is doing 15km on petrol and 200km on CNG (8kgs)

hi i own an 06 iDSI and 2010 iVTEC City

let me just say that the New City is better than iDSI city in everyway
suspension stiffness seems to be the same as far as i can tell but we dont go to rural areas and both cars r used in Karachi only

New City retains the excellent Fuel economy of iDSI and adds much more horsepower making it the fastest 1300CC car in Pakistan currenty

The Clutch is like Air
think of the softest clutch u can imagine and ill tell u the new city has a softer clutch that the one u imagined

Steering is also extremely soft which u have to experience it urself

i dont know about ECU problem but the car used to Knock when it was new
most ppl suggested to use 70% Super and 30% Hi Octane but eventually this problem disappeared

All in all i would say the New city is a worthy successor to the car that redefined Fuel Economy in Pakistan, the iDSI City

there has to be something wrong with ur car. mine is completely stock but well tuned and gives very good mileage.

i bought city 06 few weeks back it has 65k on odo is on cng and got alloy rims with nitto tyre. the issues i am facing are:
1- few cabin noises when there are potholes
2- the timing belt generator bearing noise( can anyone tell me how much will it cost?)
3- the sound of the tires, i got the bearing checked and the mechanic said they are fine. should i replace the tires?
4-when i turn car left it give a sound. is it the suspension?

My City IDSI 2004 gives me on CNG

140 Km within city (Without A/C)
120 Km within city (With A/C)

160-170 Km on Highways (With A/C)

for the sound of the tires - if bearing is fine you should go for the wheel balancing and alignment.

for cabin noises - you should go for a ride with a mechanic and he'll look up for the things in the cabin which are causing noise...some loose nuts or things usually cause noises.

and don't know about the timing belt generator's bearing...

1. probably loose change in the compartments/glove box etc. Try removing every thing and see if there is still noise.
2. you should get an estimate from a Honda pitshop for referece only. Does your car have a service history?
3. That will help.
4. Could be, can you identify the kind of sound? Again se if you can get an estimate from Honda.

the cabin noise i will get checked its not a big issue i guess
the uncle from whom i bought the car did not record the maintainance history
i will get the alignment done and update on the matter
the sound is very low like gar gar gar only when i turn left at slow pace

First of all, mileage in city is not right thing to judge, lets see its avg on highway and if its gives u around 180~200 its fine. Mine car avg in city is also around 100~120 but on highway around 200.

No special plugs & wires required, just get you car tuned from a good mechanic, change plugs if required, get throttle body cleaned and get cng from a reputed station.

1) Take out EVERYTHING from ur car, empty the glove box and other stored things.get a friend to drive ur car at normal speeds and try to narrow down the place which still give noises.u might be able to fix some at the spot, point out the rest to a good denter/mechanic.

2) it costs around 450rs i guess plus 150rs labour.im not sure about rates though.got mine changed few months back though.its an easy 20min job.

3) replace the tires with some good soft yokohama once. S drive or any other well reputed soft tyre.

4) there can be hundred things wrong with the suspension so cant say what exactly it is.get it checked.

btw, are u sure ur car is 65k kms driven? the generator bearing of my car (bought brand new) gave up at 160,000kms.

85% of the cars mileage are tempered cant really be sure
the cars body is really clean and just one touching
well my santro's timing belt bearing started giving noise on 40k, i guess its my luck really:P

bro cant say what would be ideal but i can share milage of my D13B, 2000 model Exi, for city it is driven between islamabad and pindi as daily runner and gives 135-140 with light AC, on M2 it gives me just around 200 Km.

case one: your car is on petrol and you turn on AC, RPM increases
case two: your car is on CNG and you turn on AC, RPM does not enhances

and my electrician says it will only increase on petrol and not on CNG, whats your say about this one, whats your experience.
