Hi Everyone,
I got Honda City IDSI Vario 2007, using it since 2008 and enjoying every bit of it, yes some problems were there but with the help of these forums was able to solve each one of them. Following is some car info:
Mileage: 359000
Engine Oil: 5w 40 Havoline Pro DS
**Transmission oil: Honda CVT **
Tyre: Toyo 185/65 R14.
Interior: Seats & Door Panels replaced with Fit Aria.
Plugs: NGK Type R
In 2019 Ramadan fuel pump went bad, was replaced with original Honda. Before replacing the pump i was easily getting 600km per tank but after pump replacement it went down to 400km per tank. Since then I was trying to get back to 600kms per tank but no success, tried following:
Replacing Fuel Pump
Replacing Fuel Filter
Replacing Plugs
Replacing Coils
Replacing Injectors
Replacing IVAC
Throttle Service
Replacing Sensor(The one on the engine next to TB)
Computer Scanner used multiple times no problem found
After doing everything mentioned above I was actually planning to change the car as fuel consumption went high
While reading on internet I read about Air Fuel Ratio Sensor this came in IDSI 2006-2008, i was not sure as if it was bad the scan would have showed the code, as i tried everything else already this was my last option so I went for replacement even my mechanic was not sure about it but we proceeded.
Upon dismantling the sensor Yellow layer was evident on the sensor and Kabli was easily available for Rs 2500, it was changed right away and YAYYYYY SUCCESSSSS the average is back to normal 600 km with AC, Alhamdulillah
Regards
