It's your spark plugs. Change them. You'll be good to go. Stop wasting time on other things
Dealership recommended tuning + Fuel filter replacement cvt oil change . And air filter 3.5 k. Seperate. Total 30.5k . Nothing solved.
Scanned through dealership . No codes detected
Good to know that no error codes were found, but charges seem huge.
You mean without removing cat. It can b cleaned ?
YES. It can be cleaned without removing Cat. Conv.
If you are getting it cleaned / serviced via Motor Clean, or Liqui Moly Cat. Conv. Cleaner, in both cases, its not removed.
Obviously.2 optionsMotorclean or liqui moly catalytic system cleaner intake type. Do not use the ones that can be poured in fuel tank. They only helps to mantain catalytic converter health.
Do not open and get catcon cleaned with acid or toilet sweeps
Liqui moly is poured in gas tank ?
Like I said, you are wasting time on other parts. Just replace spark plugs and your car will be back to normal.
NO. Please check following 02 videos for its methods of applications. Also see the instructions written on the back side of the bottle:
That's a lot of mileage if you haven't ever replaced the plugs. With 1.5 Turbo, if there's any drivability problems you should always suspect that it's the plugs first.
When I was finding solution to this in my friend's turbo then catcon was culprit, but you're right plugs should be replaced at such mileage in case of turbo.
Change plugs first
Use Hioctane to see if lroblem persists
These are two most probably reasons
the Honda Civic Gurus like @spano @fouadbakht @Bilalicious are insiders of civic motor their guidance will be spot on
As someone mentioned, Please check your Cat Con.
GDIs have to two fuel pumps, the one in front is Hi pressure that spins with the CAM. i doubt its the fuel pump.
You can test engine vacuum at idle through OBD scanner to pin point Cat problem.
Update ! Today sparks plugs changed. Laser iridium plugs ngk ( genuine) and the jerks and missing is gone. Power is restored. Didn’t knew a plug in this engine carries so much importance. Thanks guys for the help.
Honda fort supervisors checked the plugs but didn’t insist on changing. Unable to diagnose. Owner must have perfect knowledge. Otherwise dealerships will rip you apart. Such incompetent. Honda provided them with inadequate training.
You got replaced the Fuel filter, CVT oil, and Air filter. Still problem persisted. Were these really bad or just hit and trial done by Honda 3S?
If latter is the case, then perhaps they don't know anything about this car.
It's pretty common knowledge among 1.5 Turbo community and yet Honda doesn't know it. That's why myself and @usman1texh being owners insisted on plugs first. If one wants to keep his 1.5 Turbo in good knick, plugs should ideally be changed around 20k kms.
There has to be some technical reason behind it because this change interval/mileage is much less compared to other cars?
