Honda Civic 1.5 turbo jerks after 4000 rpm

If one wants to keep his 1.5 Turbo in good knick, plugs should ideally be changed around 20k kms.

There has to be some technical reason behind it because this change interval/mileage is much less compared to other cars?

Initially it was the bad fuel that was causing it (if you recall the fiasco and failures when Turbo was launched back in 2016). Now the fuel quality has greatly improved. I myself am on the 3rd set of plugs at 39k kms mileage. At first they silently kill power without any drivability issues. A 'shauqeen' Turbo owner like myself just wouldn't want to test how long they last before drivability issues such as those of the OP pop up. So we just change them at regular intervals.

Before changing plugs today I went on a workshop to remove the cat converter but that was a heck of a job as it’s cat is attached with exhaust manifold. I’m sure removing cat will ad another 10hp.

Don't remove the cat. I did get mine inspected a while ago and it's perfect. Also, 1.5 Turbo is not specifically notorious for having its cat choked (even though cat choking is pretty common in cars in Pakistan).

I plan to order some engine mods from uk. Hopefully will arrive in a month. Mods are decat pipes, intake and performance ecu for 270+hp. Will share the dyno graph with you guys. Once installed.

Performance mods are expensive in uk compared to wat is available in US. You can get catless pipes in pak for quite cheap.

Option for ecu either hondata or ktuner, boost will be raised from 16 psi (stock) to 23 psi. Gear shift will be raised to 7k rpm. It will run on prl motorsports ethanol kit installed in engine bay . Ethanol (e85). Optional. For another 15 hp gains. This setup is good for upto 300hp On cvt gearbox.

Hondata is overpriced, ktuner does the same work although it's slightly slow while uploading a tune etc.
No good to CVT though. They are not happy with these upgrades.

The first upgrade you need after tuning is your intercooler. And who has advised 'raising gearshift to 7k rpm'?
