Salam dear fellow members,

I have Civic Dec 2005 EXi Manual. It is very carefully kept car in original condition. A problem I have noticed that the car's high fuel consumption. I have recently done necessary tune ups like, got plug changed, oil, oil filter, air filter, throttle body, injectors cleaned and tappets etc. It was on CNG for quite some time but for last 3 years I have uninstalled the cylinder so no extra weight. Moreover, it has tyres 195 65 15 the only thing which is not stock. but still it should not make fuel consumption near about 7 to 8 Km with A/C in local. Its only driven local but on long route it hardly gives 10. One more thing I have noticed is higher RPM, like at 80 Km RPM is 3000 and on 5th gear at 120 Km/hr the RPM goes 4000.

So guys any suggestions wat could b probable cause of higher fuel consumption?

I think there are 3 mounts and one of them is connected with gearbox so i assume there might be some difference. Best to give dealership a call and ask

have you just removed the cng cylinder or complete setup?

Dear, I removed the cylinder, I have done the venturi and removed the air intake reducer, but kit is still in the hood. Its electrical wiring has not touched.

My dear, please remove the cng wiring from ignition coils and connect car's original wiring harness connectors directly to coils. You can cover the cng wiring with plastic bag and tie them in some corner if you don't want to take cng wiring out of the car.

After doing this reset ecu, I hope you know how to do it and enjoy.

Anybody tell how to stop oil leakage from cam cap at the left side of tappet cover.

the o ring has to be changed

Bring car to operating temperature (fan turns on at least twice)
Turn off car and remove battery terminal for 20seconds
Make sure no electrical load is present (lights, power windows, ac, fan etc)
Connect the cable back and start the car
Let it run without any load and any accelerator for 10minutes
Turn it off and ecu is reset now

Changed O ring, leakage is reduced a bit but not fully stopped. What should I do. Do I put slightly bigger size O ring or there is some other way.

Asslam o alaikum, friends i m having a wierd issue with my civic a few days back i changed the axcel after that my car is having trouble with gear shifting !! it just hangs up into one gear than suddenly it disconnets it i mean the car is in "D" but does not moves when i switch off the engine and start it again then it starts moving again it happens at every 2 km. yesterday my brother went to a machanic he checked the fluid and filled it but still the same is it the problem of gear of the fluid i m using is not suitable for my car or should i take a risk of getting the whole gear box serviced .

Try a better quality (oem?) o ring, btw this is a common issue. If leakage is very little (i.e oil level not dropping on dipstick) then just ignore it. The tappet cover and its seal is also a culprit

I already changed the tappet cover gasket with genuine Honda a year back. Will again go to Honda to get genuine new O ring with cap.

you might have to visit bilal gunj but unless you know someone there or take a mechanic (or someone who has knowledge) with you, they are gonna rip you off. Someone told that they are selling front bumper for 10k
