i have recently purchase 93k driven vti oriel manual 2011 which has been thoroughly maintained from honda classic i-10 and complete log is also maintained in the book.

The car has serious vibrations, the engine mount is very weak. in reverse the whole car vibrates like a tractor.
also when you drive the car on smooth road the car is bumpy. like alot bumpy then its supposed to be.

the seller told me engine mount needs to be replaced as told by the dealership and also the shocks have shocks mounts something like that on top of them (front shocks) those need to be replaced aswell...is the bumpiness being caused by that? apart from that the car is in absolutely prestine condition. 80k services have already been done on this car completely from the dealership too.

hello, how much did it cost you and where about did you get these replaced? can you please confirm if you used kabli or genuine honda?

I used the engine mount of UH6 .... it costed me somewhere around 4,500 to 4,800. The shop keeper told me that it is of same vendor who supplies to Honda who after receiving, stamps their emblems and part number on it. So far its going good. The belt tensioner I bought was kabli, I brought two or three from him, mine was broke but its inside bearing was better from all of the kabli I brought, so the mechanic changed its bearing and that is also going good for now. Kabli tensioners are pure luck, they can run good and they can also go bad the very next day. That costed me somewhere around 800 I guess. If the kabli tensioner's bearing that I replaced would have been good. I would have saved labour cost of mechanic by asking the same pathan/kabli parts dealer to mount that for me. But my car was at workshop and I was in the market searching for the tensioners so had to engage the mechanic

so you used a new mount? or bought a kabli one? if it was new and OEM quality share his contact details, but i highly doubt if its new and OEM quality because only CHINESE new would cost this much.

You need to change all mounts of transmission and engine, and also open up suspension to check it thoroughly and replace the items which need to be replaced. Reborn has common problems of mounts and suspension.

Sorry tensioner was not of 800, but it costed me 1,800. The mount was new and it wasn't of China ... I think it was of Korea .... well in the end, I wasn't completely sold on the claim of shopkeeper ... it surely was better than NOK (a popular after market brand) which I immediately rejected on the basis of comparison with UH6. The retailer is in Faisalabad, "Nawab Autos" mostly ppl in Fsd know him and he holds a better reputation among all. The mount is Alhamdulillah still going good

I'm planning a DIY for this nasty oil mount this weekend. Original one is available for 14,500 in Karachi.
Dealership has revised rate to 20,800 from 19,500 back in August. Damn! And another 3K for labour.

Salam. Dear brothers, I intend to buy a 2010 MT civic, black colour and Islamabad registered. It is completely dent/spary free except a small depression at lower end of the driver's door near front fender. It is around 160K driven. The current owner is the second owner but the car is registered with the first owner's name. Tires are worn out and needs changing. This is my first direct purchase and I don't know much about legalities with buying a car.

Please tell me the probable price of the car (the owner is a friend and has not coined a demand, says jitna munasib samjho mujhay manzoor hay) also please guide about what legal things / documents should I check before finalizing the deal.

Yes it was the starter motor. I replaced it with the kabli one.

Cheapest of all is to buy kabli .... it will cost you around 2,000

Guys need little info. We are getting a civic 2010 automatic with sunroof, wanna ask a few questions.it's driven 2.5 lacs and getting it in 13 lacs. Getting it from a friend and it's a genuine car in terms of body work etc.
1- which model is it?
2- just read about engine mount issue, what is it and will it give happen on the roads of Islamabad?
3- what's the average with light foot without ac in islamabad?
4- does 2010 civic comes with an eps or a hydraulic steering?
5- other issues regarding this model? Is it a heavy car on pocket? I mean in terms of parts? In terms of average? Actually we want a trouble free car for next 6-7 years at least.
8- would all these issues still come if the car is driven very carefully on the roads of Islamabad?

Almost all answers are available in this thread but here we go again.

1. It is Oriel Prosmatic
2. Engine mount is a common issue with this model where you hear impact noises coming from engine bay and feel excessive vibration. It will happen after every few years no matter where you drive your car.
3. Average without ac will be around 10-11, with ac 8-9.
4. It has hps.
5. Read this thread. All common issues are listed in this thread. This model has 3-4 very common issues that almost every owner faces. Heavy on pocket? Of course, yes.
6. Yes, driving it carefully will help but not much.

Personally, i would never buy a 2.5lac km driven civic since it will require a lot of maintenance and parts/labor are very expensive.
