The average price of the car is around 12-13 lacs.
I also plan to buy a Reborn in a few week inshallah, and below is the summary based on my researched about the documents and other legal things that should be checked when buying a car.

An original number plate have logo SINDH Logo EMBOSSED you can feel it by rubbing palm on it. The sticker is boot legged plate

If there is no LOGO EMBOSSED , go directly to excise office and check status for issuance of number plate of the car. The agent will help you update. Play it smartly

Well actually getting it from a friend. It's meter reversed to 88k but it's actual mileage is 2.5 lac . According to the friend it's giving around 10-11 on ac and there's no issue in the car as of now.

I have experienced that the so called friends do the most damage. Do not believe any word of your friend and get it thoroughly checked by a mechanic.
Remember reborn average is 6 to 9 in city and +11 on highway.

I recently bought a '09 Civic oriel manual. At the time, it'd done 75k. Now, I'd like to list down some of the things I ignored while buying the car
• If you're buying a manual, check to see whether the clutch is hard. If it is, the car probably needs new clutch set. A kabli clutch set costs around 10k with labor of around 2-3k depending on your local mechanic.
• Check to see whether the engine mount is intact. Take a good mechanic with you to inspect the car. Most mechanics can immediately tell whether the mount is broken or not. A broken mount will cause heavy engine vibrations.
• Check for any fluid leakages under the car. It's usually the hydraulic power steering pump that's gone bad and is leaking
• If possible, have the front bumper removed to see if the car has been in a major head on collision.
• Attach and OBD2 scanner to the OBD port. It'll tell you any recent codes that have been cleared.
• Inspect the floor of the car for any rust.
If you do not perform the above steps, the car might end up becoming a burden on your shoulders and will cost you a substantial sum to fix the sucker. Get the car inspected in detail by CarSure if possible.

Good that you mentioned few very basics things. There are way way better methods used to check the life of clutch aswell as pressure plate even the clutch bearing can be diagnosed.

The hard clutch pedal is 100% false diagnosis. The 8th gen commonly has a slightly hard clutch pedal as compared to other, it gets even further soft if you use white Lithium grease.
Also did you check the interior condition to see if the car really was 75k driven.. i realised with recent market survey in islamabad that 90% of 7th gen and 8th gen civics being sold habe reversed meters (i havnt gotten into 9th gen purchase for myself yet).

On top of everything, no offense but only a fool.would get kabli/used clutch and pressure plates. The jobs too big and chances of getting a good used plate and checking it after the assembly is 1/10.

Thr clutch plate pressure plate and clutch bearing all are changed together.

First of all, thank you so much for correcting me. And second, I didn't say clutch plate. I said clutch set. A complete clutch set includes clutch plate, pressure plate and clutch bearing.

I'm a novice myself so I was only listing a couple of things that came to my notice. Plus after I got the clutch set replaced, the clutch was very soft compared to how hard it was before the replacement. And yes, I did check the interior and it seemed pretty clean to me. But I have my doubts on whether it's meter was reversed.

Please do share about average km per liter with ac after a week, and at what average speed. Yani ik full tank kitni din lasted and the average speed.

I plan to buy this car inshallah, next month as imo there is no other better car in this price category, 11 to 13 lacs, that is luxurious or not a thiefs' addiction like a Corolla.

Based on my calculation and info of senior Reborn owners at PWs such as respected Mr. Abidoon, the average yearly maintenence cost comes to less than 50k per year within a 5 to 7 years period, which is not that expensive for a used car as compared to the value (comfort, speed, luxury, fun, security (immoblizer), and aesthetics), you are getting with this car.

In comparision, my old suzuki 1300cc car that I finally sold last month cost me around 40k per year to maintain with one problem or another every 3 to 6 months. So, Reborn is by no means an expensive car to maintain in the long run. A car is a major expense for anyone, and I believe Honda Reborn is certainly a wise choice - a classic gem.

Firstly new clutch set complete is for 8.5k not kabuli..brand new and secondsly the clutch will stay soft for only a couple of days its clutch is naturally hard ...i replaced my clutch plates at 88k kms and clutch got soft for few days now its 196k still the same set is going

for 11-13 lakhs you will probably find a beaten up car. I bought an 8th gen last month after thoroughly checking the market, make sure you do your research first well enough before going for viewing for cars because 90% of 8th gen in market (specially in islamabad- where i belong to) have reversed meters.

a true clean car would cost your around 14-15 (for manual oriel 2011-2012) and somewhere 15-16 (Automatic oriel 2011-2012). just keep in mind whatever you buy one needs 50k spare to make that car look and feel according to your like and dislikes (Tyre change, all consumables changed etc).

Once you buy this car its better to read about it and research about it alot on internet and only THEN take it to the mechanics. you will be amazed how much information and videos on youtube you will find about the civic. Educate yourself properly if any problem arises and look for a proper solution and only then ask the mechanic to fix it with pin point accuracy.

Believe me this car is a real gem in manual, i always keep manual transmission cars because i adore driving a manual car. i have kept 7th gen previously that too in manual. my 8th gen is giving me 15.46 Km/L without AC strictly local islamabad driving .

Right fellows so first tank figures showed up. Got fuel refilled exact 13 days ago and reset the trip meter and after emptying the tank (almost) got full tank last night. I've heard that there is a recall for airbags. I wanna know this because after every 1-1.5 month the airbag light comes on out of no where and stays on for the whole drive and disappears after the very next start.

Yes there was a recall last year. I got my 8th gen civic airbags (the detonator) replaced from Honda.

Check with any dealership, if your car's detonators have not been replaced before, they'll replace it for free. They'll use your car's frame number to confirm it, more than probably, the offer was for the models up to 2010, but still check with the dealership to confirm it
