actually i was hoping to get better result with projectors installed in Fog lamps because this way even in fog i will get better visibility because just above the road, there a gap between fog and road. if i manage to illuminate that gap, you can see better in fog which i think i can achieve after installing retro-fitting projectors in fog lights. As the intensity will get doubled (low beam+fog lights same direction & area), then I'll be able to see even in upcoming light without high beam. that's my perception. according to the beam patterns, it should work like this as i said.

Anyone ever tried to connect Tracking World Multimedia Unit (Gen 1) with internet? According to @Thinking, there is no Wifi Card in this unit, so connection with Wifi is not possible of course. But has anyone tried Dongle device via USB?

i bought usb wifi dongle when i had my city its pretty useless since it had opera browser only.. I can give it for free if someone needs it..once corona leaves us

So you are saying that the unit can go online with dongle, we can browse anything we want but its useless as the unit does not have latest apps, right?
Actually my daughter is fond of cartoons and I want to play YouTube in browser on the unit. I am not sure I'd be able to do that or not.

Problem is YouTube was not able to launch even via browser in city unit..it was a win ce6 vased dead slow unit. I bought wifi dongle from tw office Lahore in 900 rupees in 2015....no real use wasay...just opera per browsing kero

Okay,,. So does anyone know any aftermarket Android that perfectly fits in place of this TW unit. And the steering multimedia controls, both front & rear cameras, and iMiD are smoothly integrated with that Android Unit?

I have been using Android unit. that fits perfectly and comes with its own frame. but don't expect from it too much. yeah it can run youtube. built in video player is good. plays 1080 mp4 only. don't try any other video player bcx videos get laggy.
Specs are : 2GB ram, 16GB rom.
Google map is very laggy. (Obviously its has 2gb of ram. what can we expect from it).
cameras work great. front is used via app (AV-in app built-in) ...
the stock unit works with i-Mid too... i mean it show volume up and down or the mode you're using. but this android unit doesn't do this.... but steering button works fine...

What Android version it has?
Also do you regret replacing the stock unit with this Android? I mean I am only confused because of iMiD thing, kind of a guy who wants every single thing in working condition
The problem I am facing with stock unit is first of all its speed is very slow. Then back camera takes seconds to engage where it should engage in less than a second, and camera output is poor + laggy. Lastly the sound quality is pathetic.

I am looking for Gen II version of this unit. That was better than this. I posted ad for it even on facebook. But haven't received any responses yet.

Well tbh you wont really miss the iMiD thing as agreed with you the stock screen totally sucks and thats why i got the android one with 2GB ram and everything and it was super cool. Bought it for 16000 with front cam and installation for my 14' Rebirth, never had any problems whatsoever. So get an android infotainment bro

I have experienced both versions of oem system (old and new) as well as the aftermarket android system available in different qualities. For 9th Gen surprisingly the aftermarket system is very good and oem systems are pathetic in comparison

Usually aftermarket systems are not good but because of the crappiness of those old TW stock systems aftermarket solution is much better instead of repairing or buying an insanely expensive system from TW

With all of you enthusiast PakWheeler's comments, I have now pretty much decided to replace the stock unit with Android one once this lockdown is over and everything is normal (Insha.ALLAH). All I need to do now is to find the best option available in the market. Because yesterday someone was telling me that it is possible to integrate iMiD with these Android units as well.

hello all,

i have recently gotten my hands on the 2013 civic rebirth and i am absolutely loving it. its original mileage is 65k.
i would like to ask what are the necessary tuning / changes i need to make in order for smooth operation of the vehicle? (if any). The car runs smooth and i checked the engine oil which looked fine to me and also got it inspected via pakwheels and the report was good alhamdolillah, but i just wanna be extra cautious and do any necessary clean ups / tune-ups..
also those living in karachi can you folks point me to a good reliable mechanic here who knows his work and is not out there to rip u off like so many others. preferably a mechanic who deals in honda cars precisely and that u guys go to him for any repairs / tune ups etc?

Since everything is closed due to Lock-down, so I haven't checked the market yet. However, I did some web surfing. I found Journey2Music & AutoMotive Electronics. I asked them about iMiD integration. According to them yes this is possible, But I cannot believe this until I visit them and see some demo. So waiting for the Lock-down to be over and the shops to open....

Yes lockdown had been holding me back aswell,Previously asked tw for the gen 2 unit they told me it'll be available 1st week of april.But if some other unit can work with the imid that'll be even better since the specs of factory unit are merely acceptable at best.I like the ambient light kinda strip that it has tho and I think that goes very well with the interior

If you go through my comments above, I am also hesitant in installing the after market units only because of the perfection of stock unit (Perfection in term of looks & integration, NOT performance). Anyway, let's wait for the lockdown to over.
By the way how much TW asked for the 2nd gen unit?

AutoMotive from lahore... They are very much costly.

They asked 35k for the android unit with fitting charges. and after 4 days, i came to know by my friend that this unit is available in 22k. I was shocked to hear that. So be careful when going to these online shopkeepers. they are only there to loot you.

Specs are : 2Gb ram , 16 GB rom (including front and back cam)
