Japanese auto manufacturer Honda Motor Company had launched its luxurious hatchback car named ?Honda Jazz? in local Indian market in 2009. New Honda Jazz is the first small car in Honda?s portfolio in Indian auto market. Recently Honda launched another small hatchback luxurious car ?Honda Brio? but Honda Jazz made history as it was Honda?s entry into competitive auto segment in India. There are many other tough competitors in the market like Skoda Fabio, Chevrolet SRV and Hyundai i20.
When company launched this car its price was high but later on price was slashed in order to make it more competitive in the market. It is available in three variants/models i.e. Honda Jazz Basic, Honda Jazz Select Edition and Honda Jazz X. Honda is planning to launch the fourth model Honda Jazz 1.5 which is diesel powered.
Honda Jazz New Features
This stylish car is mainly attracting young people due to stylish looks. It has sharp lines and central bonnet ridge that gives it futuristic looks.
All modern safety features like ABS, EBS, Side Airbags and suspension system are up to date.
Color choice is ample as it is available in 11 different colors.
This vehicle is equipped with 1200cc engine which is fuel efficient. Fuel mileage of Honda Jazz is 13 km per liter of petrol in city and 16 km per liter of petrol on highway.
In 2001 and 2002 Honda Jazz won the ?Car of the Year Award? and now it is ready to rock the Indian market with more updates and features. Overall Honda Jazz is wonderful car which is fully loaded with features but there is one drawback i.e. its price which is too much for hatchback car. If you compare it with Honda Brio, Honda Jazz is much more expensive but with more features and power.

Honda Jazz vs Suzuki Swift

The Honda Jazz is the most desirable hatchback in India and there’s no disputing that. We’ve liked its space, its versatility, its interiors, its engine - heck everything about the car - except its pricing. Two years ago on our mega hatchback comparo in Ladakh the Jazz stood head and shoulders above its brethren yet it couldn’t win the test because of its silly pricing.
Finally the pricing issue has been addressed with this refreshed Jazz. What’s new? There are new bumpers, new grille, new headlamps and new colors, all of which amounts to not very much. The main thing is the pricing which has come down a whopping Rs 1.6 lakh with the base variant now at Rs 5.50 lakh going up to Rs 6.06 lakh. And with that came a flood of e-mails and calls: is the new Jazz the best hatch in the country?
No better way to answer the question than to pit it against the winner of last month’s mega hatchback test to the North East - the new Swift. The Swift has been the best car in its segment since it was launched all those years ago and now the all-new Swift (looks like a mild refresh but it really is all-new) raises the bar yet again. The moot question is has the bar been raised over the Jazz?

That is a good news ... I guess Brio Sedan (Amaze) was a better choice. It could compete 1-1 with Suzuki Swift with Same Price Range and more space and Honda Badge.

Nevertheless, I am happy that Honda is expanding its infrastructure. May it be a successful Launch

Lets hope they are able to launch the car here and give some choices to buyers. With the import age coming down to 3 years JDM's will become very expensive and buyers will be forced to go for Suzuki for a hatch back. A big challenge for Atlas Honda would be pricing. They have to enter the hatch back market dominated by Suzuki and at the same time not affect City's market. I think it can do well if it is priced between cultus and swift, so something around 1.1 million.

yes Honda will launch jazz in Pakistan, but not in 2013, its in 2014.

Brio was also an option, but later it was dropped after marketing survey. So they are working on jazz only now.

This means that the basic price in 2014 would be atleast 15lakh because Pakistan's currency is degrading day by day and If we suppose that it is lauched today it price should be above 11Lakh.
