Performance to whom knows it best ... uhh right right, I hope someone tells Honda that when it comes to high horses you need forced induction to hit some serious horses.
Also for performance, go have a look at Japanese Grand Touring Championship (JGTC). Honda just has the NSX while Toyota has the SC430 (Lexus), MR2 and Supra.
As for Honda SH-AWD technology ... its good on paper, I will come to believe it being all super when it gets into rallys or shows some ownage off road.
Btw for all your info, variable valve timing isnt a Honda concept ... according to wikipedia.
