How people get jobs in UAE while sitting in Pakistan

Dear.. ab kia kahoon.

My dad last year applied for Australia visa. The medical reports went to Dubai to some doctor for final OK.for visa as required by embassy. They visa granted to my mom and denied to my dad for having some shade on My dad's lungs.

Such a stupidity. My father had a tripple bypass pass surgery in 1991 and later due to some issues his three ribs were removed. The xray was showing it clearly but they said my father has TB. My father send his all medical history along with other tests performed. My father himself a doctor called them up in Dubai and spoke with the guy who was reading those xrays.. He initially was like my father is telling lie. Than my dad started in real medical tone and they have no other option..

Could get yourself diagnosed/ written statement from a reputable hospital where ever you live and present it to them.

Worth a try! And it sucks that you had to leave ;/

in Govt Medical centres arabic speaking Doctors dominate across GULF, key positions are under their control, Doctors from subcontinent are in 3rd tier of final-say. The best part is People of europe & developed nation origin, are assigned different clinics for medical tests, and if they produce attested medical record from their country of passport few tests are exempted for them.

am sure you honourable dad must've spoken to arabic speaking (country of origin) doctor, who even identify smoker's chest as TB disease chest, ! ! wa_Allah daraad un shadeed un payt_ich, tomatoo ketchup peyon in_watero_un 2 times a day mukaamal araam_un maafi takleef_un

my 25 cent suggestion to senior year / fresh graduates is:

after graduating in any profession hook-up to 1st opportunity of employment in respective field. Do not wait to hit a 'GOLD MINE', longer the silent period in between graduation year & 1st job slot, longer the jump required for next better opportunity. 1st 5 ~ 9 years of job switching determines the attitude of person for stable experience progressing career.

Does it help in getting a job in Dubai or Abu Dhabi if the person knows 4 solid languages and 3 not so much which includes Arabic? keep in mind that the person has not completed Matric/O-levels YET:)

Not really. But also depend on the languages! If 4 solid languages include Punjabi, Urdu, Pushtoo etc. then it is of no use. But if they are French, Russian, Chinese etc. then this kind of person is useful for me as I can hire him as a Tour Guide! Oh but wait a second! As per new rules, you have to have an Inter Degree for that as well...

I went there last year and got a good job but visa was rejected (before getting stamped) due to medical reasons. They found scars in my chest while having X-Ray and declared it as OLD TB, so got an unfit report and came back home. However they didn't deport me and gave a chance to come back after treatment. I got it checked thoroughly but no TB was found even in past, the scars were not due to TB, only a little infection may be due to food indiscretion.

Now going again on employment again but confused about medical test to be taken again, i.e if they find anything (scars), will deport me and send me back permanently because its federal law of U.A.E and G.C.C countries that if a person has scars in chest, they declare him/her unfit (and don't grant him residence visa) either he/she has TB history or not.

I've heard that if scars are present in chest (lungs) either due to TB or any other reason, they remain through out the life. Please let me know if there is any way (medicine or treatment) to remove scars from chest (lungs) so that I can clear my medical test in Dubai and continue my work. I'm healthy but nervous about X-Ray. I've heard that they don't do something under the table and strict to there laws without any compromise. I'm too much disheartened in this condition as its not fair that I've to ruin my career and dreams without any reason.

what about engineers? i mean with some experience things will be better but what if someone wants to get a job as fresh graduate? Most of the jobs i find always require 3-5years experience but are there any trainee programs or something?

Not much room for Fresh Graduates. The trainee programs you see are mostly for UAE Nationals only. These people are not good enough to train expats first and then giving them jobs.

Again... What you require is Experience or Waasta or Luck!

Considering my father worked 25 years in dubai, i expect that they give me some edge but so far no luck... Perhaps the "waasta" is not much strong

Sir kismat ka bara khel hai. Agar aapka daana paani likha hai to waasta ho na ho aap wahan pohanch jao gy. There was a time when I had such a strong wasta in Dubai that I applied in Etisalat and got a call in Pakistan for an interview. The guy said I can not say no as we have received your recommendation from one of the Sheikh's sons but the seat we have requires 10-15 years of experience. What should I do. I said no issues, I won't come for that vacancy as I myself won't be able to do anything even if I join! Tried hard even after that par kismat mai nahi tha nahi hua. Jab likha tha tab hi aaya! Ab tab tak rahun ga jab tak dana paani likha hai. Haan par one should not give up!

Thats exactly what i believe. By the way, earlier you said that those trainee vacancies are for UAE nationals... i was wondering that if, in case, the number of vacancies are not filled by nationals, is there any chance they would consider non-nationals too?

They don't ban you. But once you are sent back because of Medical reasons, they have it in record. They do accept medical reports from recognized hospitals and clinics. Anything that has a thappa of UAE Embassy becomes legitimate. The reason I am saying this is because IF the visa gets rejected, the PRO has to get it cleared from the Immigration with supporting documents. If it gets approved, even then you should have these reports because your past rejection can become an issue anytime.

They have too many wailay Nationals! So that is not going to happen. They have these programs to accommodate the unemployed wailaa youth. What happens is that they get training from expats, don't do much but get salaries.

I do not wish to hijack the topic - but boy Faiz Aslam, before time runs out finish your A-levels, & if you have a european passport and funds support from your country for education. I suggest register yourself at a UAE school get admission & finish your schooling, a job will automatically be offered to you by UAE companies / international companies working in UAE at final term of senior year . You can also offer your living experience with people interested to setup businesses in UAE from your country of passport.

every day passing by is never coming back, focus on your studies & finish at least a bachelors course. - disconnect internet and think what you wish to achieve in life. & how much time you wasted & left with.

there is a very common notion across GCC for local people bossing around expats 'It is work it is your job you get paid for it, if you can do it please finish quick, if you cannot do it wa_allah Habibi am not suppose to do your job'

read it as: Middle-Eastern attitude for work: “Wallahi if one can do it, let him do it. If no one can do it, ya habibi how can I do it?

please do not lose heart once you land there be sure that you talk out to PRO manage & get some waseela at medical centre, You be rest assured he will help. don't be scared to TALK. carry your medical record attested from UAE consulate if convenient.

I would like to appreciate the input of brother @capsat fairplay to you they way you are giving some honest feedback that how things work in real life.

Can you please advise does a good job also offers a family visa ( means can I sponsor my mom , brother & sister) or it has to be your spouse & kids, as I am planning to move down the road UAE or some where near to Pakistan..in the meantime I have already gone through the tough times & spent my youngster life in Europe so just checking if relocation is worth it in terms of sponsoring the family members stated above.

@LionKing any person in basic salary slab of AED 7000 or above can sponsor wife & children. To sponsor kin for a visit or transit visa a refundable deposit of AED 2500 is to be made which is refunded upon producing proof of exit of person from UAE. - Parents can not be classified as dependent in GCC.

Plenty of people manage visa for KIN through emirates airline, & from travel agent(s) in case they are using some other carrier & paying own ticket no hassle to run around for visa. electronic bar code over the issued visa is scanned upon arrival & passport is stamped.

IF you are having a european or a non-asian passport you can do job search by landing in UAE without prior visa, all major european passports get free visa on arrival for 20 - 30 days, afterwards take an exit by road to oman or to near by kish island by air for AED 275 round trip and arrive next day on same flight for free visa for 30 days.

Salary scales & benefits are poles apart for European / Australian/ Newzealand /British / Canadian & American passport holders.

• An Indian origin Senior sales manager at Minolta office automation FZC in Jabel Ali is making AED 17000 per month 8 to 5.30 single shift 5 days a week plus company car & family insurance. While his immediate Boss Area sales Manager (area means UAE & OMAN ) a Dutch from Holland is making AED 42000 per month plus 2 cars one SUV for family & One sedan for work commuting, company paid accomodation 3 bedroom Villa in Greens community, health & schooling for kids, works 5 days a week 8 AM to 4 PM. Family holidays for 45 days per annum air fare paid by company to home country or anywhere else.

Sir you have really put it down so nicely I really appreciated. So this 42K AED is there any tax deductions or everything goes straight into Dutch fella's bank account.

At this point I am really encouraged to give it a shot and see if things workout I was only scared in relocating if I the salary scale would be the same in UAE as well...but I think so they way you have put it down I should definitely consider this , but in the meantime I am dual citizen but not a 'gora' so I hope this wont become a showstopper but at the end of the day I am proud to be a Pakistani.

@LionKing NO TAXES It is a tax free regime in across GCC , use your OTHER Passport & Other ID when visiting & applying for JOB, stash away PK ID & Papers [ keep dil tou hai pakistani in pocket ] if questioned simply have an statement ... citizen of [ country name ] born to Pakistani parents living in [ country name ] twist fact as tongue twister.

do not forget to carry your academics, attested by UAE embassy from country of your passport & or from UAE embassy in country where academics are issued

No! Thats bcoz every year more then 2K nationals graduate... By 2015 estimated 25K nationals wud require placements... Non national is never on their list.
