Hi there, My friend recently bought a Honda civic with fabric seats. The fool then decided to have a smoke in the car. when the 'new car smell' had gone and was replaced by a murky mouldy smell he realised his mistake and now doesn't smoke in the car. However the stench is still there. And it's getting worse, please help. I know the new car smell is basically the smell of glue, and freshly moulded plastics and is quite harmful. So he doesn't want that.Glade air refreshers don't work.. What's the best available air refreshener available in the market? He's based in lahore.

First of all change cabin air filter if it's not.

Was it one smoke, a pack of cigarettes, or a nicely rolled joint?
Never heard of a single smoke smell last this long.
May be he just needs to roll down the window?
Or simpler still, check the cabin air filter.

i have been smoking in my car for years and none of non smoking passengers have ever felt smell or anything like that,even when I asked them if they could focus maybe thats cuz i smoke with windows open
I've noticed that the smell is more bearable in the cars of people who smoke regularly.. However if it's once in a blue moon the fresh smell of tobacco becomes murky and mouldy over time. And then smells like urine
ask him to buy some nice lady parfum and spray it in inside the car,trust me his car will smell like barbie's car and every one would love to ride in,just make sure he is unmarried as it may wreak havoc in his life if he is,,,,,

He should just smoking pot in his car. Or stop smoking completely.
Just get a through detailing of the interior by a good professional. They will shampoo and clean all the upholstery including the seats and roofliner, as well as the remainder of the interior. That should take care of the smell. Remember, they do this to almost all the cars for resale and are pretty good at it.
