How to get rid of PTV fees

While paid channel on cable like HBO, Discovery, Animal Planet cost you 15 rupees each.

In short time they will bring to 50 rupees and People will say "50 rupees he hain na"

This channel is broad-casted in every single part of Pakistan without using satellites. And doing that is not a cheap task.

They dont use satellite. This channel is state tv, its to be used for emergency broadcasts in time of war etc when satellite links might not be working...

They have transmission towers all over pakistan. Thats what this 35rs is paying for.

the cable channels are not broadcasted everywhere ( by "everywhere" I mean all the villages as well ). And comes from satellites which may be turned off during war time by foreign owners.
This 35rs will guide u through PTV during war time. Its worth paying, it might even save ur life in case of a war...

Dear PTV use Satellite to broadcast its two channels PTV cover 90% and News upto 80%.

I have personally checked their system they use asiasat3s One frequency of PTV Home is for Terristrial Network which is encrypted by a key. 2nd for satellite user.

Commonly Known as PTV Booster which contain

1-Two Tv sets(1 lakh)
2-Two Satellite receiver(30k)
3-Long Range Radio Transmitter(15 lakhs) which cover area 150 km of its radius may be more.
4-Generator(6 lakhs)
5-Building and tower (20 lakhs)

And total should upto 60 lakhs this is one time cost and mostly Boosters completed before 2000

And there may be 40 to 50 boosters and their monthly expenditures are not 10% of 35 rupees*4 crore.

those 35 rps is a way to make more money for corrupt people running the channel. there is nothing you can do about it. its a ransom money that you have to pay per month. everybody in power is coming up with desperate ways to make money. as Sheikh rashid said "haramkhoron k liye pakistan ki zameen bohot zarkhez hai"

@cisco : prices have risen, u didnt count the salaries of thousands of people who work there. the amount they pay for the content. satellite rent.
And im sure industrial connections dont pay that 35rs.....
