does tire pressure effects mileage?
got tire pressure checked today n as usual tire pressure was low in tire but it was too low like 19 :S

anyways i experienced few things today
i found out that first gear or infact 2nd gear as well doesnt shifts at 2k,i keep extremely low foot but still it doesnt shifts at 2k,infact i have to pick my foot once it reaches so that it can shift at 2k n when i put it back then its struggling in higher gear
also i noticed that once i cross 40 or 60 then even at 3k or 4k rpm,the pick gets awesome n it reaches 80 n then 100 easily(talking about auto car) as the pick is slow in starting gears even if you floor it infact i remember when i floor it really hard like pedal to the metal,the acceleration is like really slow but if i keep in middle then pick is better n once i cross 60 then at 3-4k rpm even with light foot the pick is quite good
i reached at 100-120 today keeping it at 4k rpm at max,when ever it reached 4k rpm i took off the foot so that it can shift n then putting back foot to that level,so i guess that way i save fuel as otherwise if i let it go till 5k then it will consume more fuel though whenever i lightened my foot to shift gear n then again flooring it a little bit to 3-4k rpm it picked speed quite good
i learnt that i should shift at 2k rpm in starting gears till i reach 60 speed or 3k at max n then either at 2k or if i want pick then 3-4k
today i wanted to floor my car but i kept it at 4k max
i was thinking to floor it real hard as i got a chance to go on 9th avenue till pindi but instead i kept it 90-100 constant speed

though tire pressure in rear tire was 19
driven around 10-20km with constant speed of 90-100,i guess thats why mileage got good
this time it wasnt hypermiling full time,it was hypermiling at 2k rpm as well as drive of 3-4k rpm but not more than that
got cng filled today at 91km for 530rs
so 530/91=5.8rs/km which is quite awesome that i shifted gears at 4k rpm after 3rd gear,took it to 100 as well but i guess its mainly because i didnt floored it full time on that road but kept it at 90-100 speed instead

Previously i had a (F.F CNG) baleno and i really have achieved more than 225km in a single tank (55kg) using some hypermiling techniques.

Dear i got ALTIS 2005 and i used 2 drive also @ 2k- 3k and it gives about 110-125km in city in lahore with ac while about 175- 185 km on long with ac. it has 60litr cylnder.how is that

This is exactly same as mine 1.3 XLI , i didnt get yet that therez no difference in consumption of 1.3 and 1.8 engines.. yea this is good milage,

First of All the best tire pressure for any type of Car and Tyre is 28 psi NOT LESS than and NOT MORE than it ! if u have ever gone for allignment checkup they will always recommend and warn you not to exceed 28 psi not go below it. the tyres get damaged sooner and loose the grip !

and for hypermiling other than tyre pressure flooring means when u exceed the normal limit of car gear ratios i am giving u example irrespective of rpm my alto normally goes 20- 25 km/h in first gear if i floor it it will touch 30 - 40 km/h on cng i have to pull really hard to achieve 40 km/h but this results in more fuel consumption and in actual meaning it is known as flooring .. but this does not mean you are driving ur car in forth gear and the speed is between 60km/h this would also result in bad fuel consumption .. so drive ur car properly see the manual and see the rpm or gear ratios recommended ...

plus further hypermiling includes coasting, shutting down enigne on signals more importantly get rid of mass weight that is not needed. get ur air filter clean pressured air every month and properly tune ur car to achieve optimum mileage, accelerate the car lightly ..

i once sat with an ameer sahab type taxi driver and he was going on red signal on air port road i told him wtf are u doing he said RED pe rukna hota hai i have no license i dont know bro every time i get out its like this. i drove in Pindi in mardan as well but level of badtameezi is highest here!

the idea of scarring new car is that they think driver will get scared as his car is new but in my case i kill their plans with full beam and horn with no sigh of stopping they are in a surprise and most KABULI are driving rickshaw and taxi so u can see all this

shutting down an efi car with cng is not a good idea since u have to accelerate till 2k rpm when u start to convert it n sometimes it doesnt converts n u have to start again n accelerate till 3-4k rpm

chohdry pai, tussi civic naal ek kam hor v kra lo, apni gas kit ki saari wiring joints, fuses aur grips check krwa lo, balke saaf krwa lawo to ensure perfect current flow. Agar possible ho to cng kit ki ground wiring b krwa lain with moti zero gauge pure copper wire.
aapki car ki per cylinder mileage kaafi improve ho jaye gi, upto 150kms per cylinder on long route.

Plus one thing more, I see u actually waste fuel while trying to hypermile ur car, I suggest k mileage k baarey me khof zadda (paranoid) rehna chor dain. drive normally, smoke corollas, keep an average speed of 100kph on highways, accelerate normally on roads instead of dragging ur car like a mehr khan on road for less fuel consumption.

I do the same with my city idsi and exi civic and believe me I am more than happy with both of them. Kal bhi city ko 140kph pr khich k rakha and she gave me 175kms on highway with full ac. exi in same conditions in khicho khich driving gives 140-160kms with ac easily.

agr abi mileage achi na b ho to at least I am not sad or gloomy k itni ehtyaat bhi ki and mileage b nai milli.

from where can i get all the cng stuff done? or any where,what should i tell the mechanic to do
last time when i went to nazir autos n told them to change the bosch,they asked me,why,is there something wrong lol

u r right,when i had been driving it normally n even flooring it,it was giving 100+
but dont know why now sometimes i like driving it at 2k rpm esp when i know there's some pot hole n i have to brake or the next car is moving dead slow n i have to slow down eventually though i love flooring it in early gears esp first gear but u said it consumes lots of fuel but still i take it to 4k rpm
i'll try the normal drive but ever since i told my dad that i experienced more mileage on 2k rpm he started driving at 2k rpm as well but average did came to 6rs/km n 14km/kg
city is economical,why wouldnt it give good mileage

btw does AC effects mileage?
corolla's fan has like speed from 1-4 but civic has 1-10 i guess n i keep it at 3 or 2 if n when i use it,i feel like its not that chill at more speed
today i was stuck in traffic,dead slow traffic n still i got 10km/kg
learnt never to go out on eid days,went to shadra n got stuck in traffic of lake view n it was worst while going back n then on kashmir highway,took the first exit on 7th avenue,felt the independence

b4 this car was used as second car but now its the only one so its used for everything n i started this hypermiling when there were 2 days left to open cng n i was saving the petrol so thought to drive slow to keep it on cng n it worked then

1600cc vti picks speed without even pressing race,since its auto,even if i take off my foot from race,still speed reaches till 40 easily
anyways went out now n had fun driving around 4k rpm till 100
