Let me tell you something. I happen to own a 2012 8th Gen Reborn. That’s a 13 years old car now and it's the main workhorse of the house. It’s driven on all kinds of roads and conditions.

Guess how much I have spent on its rear “suspension” in these 13 years?

ZERO.

Even the shocks are the original ones that came from factory. Never even had rear suspension alignment issue on it. Every time I got the front alignment done, the rear alignment was always found to be within OEM range.

Have I enjoyed and still do enjoy driving it? Yes, its one of the best handling cars of its time. Even today it is not too far off from Civic 10th, 11th gen in steering response and feel and grippyness on road. I would even say in certain situations its hydraulic steering communicates even better than newer ones.

Thats a pathetic engine, noisy, powerless. Mileage is only good thing and indus is finding very hard to sell it. if someone is buying a 10 million car and is concerned about mileage only, he needs to revisit his financial wisdom. Cross is cheaper than corolla sedan globally. Its a big hatch from interior and drive is good for 60yr plus people with no real feel.

yes civic reborn is one last civic which has decent build quality and its drive feel is also nice ..this era hondas were on par with toyotas in reliability even you see the idsi city it was very durable car same era..latest civics are not that good quality wise ..although reborn has weak engine mounts which you most probably replaced.

it gives around 21 to 22 avg in city drive ..elantra 1.6 hybrid also falls in same price range as cross both are for fuel economy and many buyer have this concern . the instant of torque of a hybrid is also a plus in overtaking .

that instant torque applies to newer hybrids.. like haval, elantra, sanat fe.. sportage. Cross has older pathetic hybrid with baba g drive feel

Then why do people keep buying Civics again and again if they are such bad cars? Obviously there is something you are failing to understand constantly. "Instant torque" of Corolla Cross is not enough. It cannot even help overtake a Civic Reborn if the Reborn driver floors it.

its slower than Grande.... i drove it and instantly realized, it has no power, no comfort, bouncy suspension and foot brake... lmao in 2025 now. has less seating space than any other competitor. Only Jamali sb knows why they even launched it.. Launday wont buy as it has no feel. Families regret as it has no space. Sportage is far better than this strange product.

i didnt say its bad just talking about quality complains .. plus civic gives you fun to drive engaging feel and looks so thats why its attractive for some buyers right now..you want a sporty driving car civic will be the car to buy no doubt plus looks good aswell modern. i myself prefer rs over elantra hybrid.

I got the mentioned Elantra GLS (2022) then, loving my ride. Just want a small recommendation, which engine oil should i go for? The previous owner was using company recommended Shell Helix 5W-30 SP , but my inclination is towards Liqui Moly 5W-30 SP, Please share your thoughts on what should i choose from the available options.

Stick to the company recommended oil shell helix 5 w 30. You are already satisfied with it and will remain so. But if you change oil the only difference will be increase in engine sound and almost no gain in power or fuel average. My personal experience. The hyundai provided shell is 100 percent original and of high quality. Hyundai are not using the superior shell ultra may be for a reason.

Nothing better will come from using liqui moly except you will lose more cash in buying it.

Any certified API SP/SN oil from a global oil giant is perfect. Get the cheapest you can as long as it’s from an international brand like Caltex/Havoline or Shell or others.

Mine is 2021 and driven 16k kms in total AL HAMD U LILLAH. i get the oil changed from dealership every six months. Hyundai used to put Zic 0w-30 oil in my car in early days (since they didnt have any hyundai branded oil available with local partner at that point in time). However there is an orignal sticker on my air filter box recommending shell helix oils.

However i stick with 0w-30 always either zic or shell.

dealership are kind enough to allow me to use my own oil. i find car to perform a bit better with 0w-30.

i think none of the LM options available in pakistan are fully synthetic (rather are semi synthetics). i suggest to stick with the recommended change interval of 5K Kms/6 months whichever comes first.

use any fully synthetic 5w-30 oil like shell (available on dealership), total or caltex. hope i have answered the question to satisfaction.

The biggest reason I'm inclined towards Liqui Moly is its life compared to the price (11.5k for 4L), it is recommended to get it changed after a mileage of 10k kms while with Shell Helix, the recommended oil change is after 5k kms (cost 9k for 4L). So, in conclusion, it can result in around 40% savings with the oil change cost.

Who is giving you those ridiculously short numbers.

Full synthetic oils from good brands API SP/SN are good for 8000 miles / 10k kms.

Been running havoline fine at 8-10k km intervals. Just make sure it is fully synthetic. Get the shell oil which is fully synthetic or switch.

This is NOT long drain interval. Extended drain interval oils are rated for 25,000+ kms and are not suitable for our climate as you need to change OEM oil filter after 8,000 to 10,000km running anyway.

5000km oil change interval was for old decades old semi synthetic or mineral oil categories. Many liqui moly oils available in Pak are still semi synthetic so beware of that too.

Most of these oils that say fully synthetic, havoline, shell, zic, total (quartz 9000 for eg), mobil 1 etc etc, these are not true pao iv oils but a blend having group iii oils as base stock. Email these companies and they can offer some clarification on it.

In europe there are stricter reglulations where they are not allowed to call these same blended oils as fully syntehic, thus its semi - so liqui moly labels it as semi synthetic. Its all the same.

And all these so called shop 'experts' who say you can go 10k+ on more expensive oils, on what basis are they saying this? Unless you get an oil analysis done on your oil, changing oil based on how costly it is, is just rubbish.

Liqui Moly is extremely over rated and over priced specially for local cars. Tried it 3 times, regretted everytime. It has zero benefit over any original total, shell API SN/SP ILSAC GF5/6 fully synthetic oils locally available.

Using Total quartz 9000 with 10k plus change intervals on Corolla Grande and it has crossed 150K Kms. Engine is performing as good as new.
