Still an obsolete corolla is sold here at the same price but I agree civic is current gen Elantra’s price is not very nice I think 1.6 is still more attractive the price is ok

As per unconfirmed reports, there is only one engine option and the 2L engine. This is the same engine as in Tucson/ Sportage.. Lets see if this is true. I personally think we might have both 1.6 and 2L but I also dont see the value of two engine variants.

As per my information, there are three variants coming, two with 1.6 engine and one with 2.0.

I think they should put a ban on all imported parts, and all parts should be locally manufactured.... except car engine can be imported, for improving the industry in the long term..... and for bringing the car prices down...

saray car manufactures car parts import kar kai assemble kar rahay hain...ais tarah car prices kam naheen houn gee kabhee bhee........Changan(all parts from China), Proton (Malaysian parts), Kia (Korean parts) , Hyundai (Korean), Suzuki (Japanese), Toyota(Jap), Honda(Jap).......all are just assembling cars from imported stuff.....

I wish a car gets MANUFACTURED in Pakistan not ASSEMBLED in Pakistan...

Its a myth,what do you think apple manufactures each part of its iphone and macbook from scratch ?or tesla for that matter.
Or gree ac manufactures each part from scratch.
These all are called manufactures because in order to produce a product they have to setup supply chain with their or their suppliers investment.
So indus,honda,suzuki are all manufacturers not assemblers.

they import CKD (Complete Knock Down) kits....u can read that above,,,,

aik PIN pakistan mein banti hai......aur shayad paint aur weld Pakistan mein hotay hain parts...

THAT IS ALL.........that is why cars are so so expensive in Pakistan....

AIk ke chetah aya tha Pakistan mein jis nain local choti ADAM REVO launch kee thee....

Had the government backed ADAM Motor company...things would have been different...

Now we have to buy all IMPORTED ASSEMBLED cars like Corolla, Civic, Alto, Sportage, Alsvin, Elantra junk at high prices with no VALUE FOR MONEY.....

Please do a little research before going on further.

For your info, All glass, all Metal, all wiring, A/c system, Cooling System, Lights, all of interior from dashboard to seats is made in Pakistan. The paint is procured locally too.

20-25% stuff is imported.

luxury hahahaha they are even inferior to japanese shopping carts i.e. corolla and civic.

And i had a chance of sitting in elantra (previous generation) abroad and surely it was cramped and smaller than corolla and was surely more plasticy as well. so it cant be priced same as corolla by any standard.

lets just hope that its priced competitively to compete locally.

The Elantra we are getting is wider than corolla and have same length.

The luxurious Elantra we are getting was a failure and had to be replaced the very next year by Hyundai!
