Its an elite version with 2.0 L engine 150Hp. The 1.6 engine was turbo as top of the line variant.

Pakwheels reveals only 2000 CC engine size... means there will be no lower variant??

Bhai just read post from Pakwheels official page about 2000cc variant. Got disappointed, was anxiously waiting for 1.6 variant for past three months and delayed booking of Yaris. Lets hope for good

Yes its coming with 2L aswell with top speed of around 230 kmph

its the exact same engine as in Sportage and Tucson. around 154HP.

There seems to be not much hype around elantra launch. Tucson had quite alot of hype when it launched. Elantra apparently should cater a bigger market than tucson

I think Elantra is late to the party, not to mention overpriced and people are already settling for low priced economical cars like Alsvin because fuel isn't so cheap anymore...
Its probs only going to capture the mindset of spoilt civic turbo rich boys, not many people will opt for it simply because they can get BRV, Glory and for a few extra lacs Sportage, all of which are safer investments (well maybe not glory but the other two are nice)

Also you can visibly see on the roads now... sportage is dominating the sector that once Toyota ruled with Grandes.. couple that with the fact sedan sales are globally being replaced by crossovers in the same price bracket... so yeah those who though Elantra is a premium brand, well tough luck

well, to be honest i always thought that these tucson and sportages are a joke.

1. if elantra gets 2.0 engine that these fat ass heavy wanna be crossovers become an instant joke.
2. both tucson and sportage are shorter then civic in both wheelbase as well as total length comparison.
3. both cant do off-roading
4. road clearance is just 5 mm of difference from civic.
5. on highway sedan is always more stable at speeds crossing 120 then these fat chics (sportage and tucson)
