Should wait for elantra Till January or go for Yaris? I mean Hyundai is already facing problem with Plant capacity and may be not in a position to launch the new vehicle. Pls guide

Kia Cerato may be coming soon you should wait for it. As for Elantra I don’t see a January launch

Elantra is not coming till 2022 atleast. Cerato maybe be available by April 2021.

You should wait for Changan Alsvin which is coming by 11-Dec-2020. It might be very good option against Yaris.

Nishat has failed miserably with Tucson. I travel a lot in Lahore and saw only 2 Tucsons yet since it's launch. They are not taking any new booking as far as I know. Existing order will be ready by up to August 2021. So there is no point to wait for Elantra even if it is introducing in February 2021, it will not be on road for next 6-10 months for sure.

Already have grande, but cant use as daily drive. I was expecting elantra and cerato with price tag of 3.2 M which is close to yaris 1.5 Cvti.
Have you any idea about price of elantra and cerato??

my rough guess is

Elantra 2.0 fully loaded 38-39
1.6 base variant 31-32

I believe Elantra will have tough time selling. People moving towards SUV's.. this is the same reason you most probably will not see a Kia Cerato.

The word " PROBABLY" means there is a chance.

I didn't make a judgment. I based my opinion on basis of some very authentic information from few months ago. KIA success is on basis of not going in direct competition with existing players. KIA market research concluded few months ago that their Spotage has already shifted the sedan buyers around 4 million range towards their product already. Do they really need a product in that segment was something brainstormed.

Cerato or possibly a sub 4 million small crossover study was conducted. A small crossover with mid 3 Million range will not only hurt the sedan sales [ civic and Corolla] but also Can attract buyers who are currently looking for Yaris or possibly the upcoming City.

You should also know that Lucky has Peugeot license and there is possibility that the under 4 million product might be something from Peugeot. There is also a possibility the same KIA dealers also sell Peugeot from the same locations with proper after sales service and support.

Again as I said, nothing is final as no decision was final till the last information I had. I am not disagreeing with you that's why I used the word " probably ".

Again I presented the case study. Anything after june 2021.. does not work for car companies under ADP which includes Cerato.

Lucky motors imported wide quantity of Peugeot galvanized sheets almost 5 months ago and that does not mean a passanger vehicle is coming. A small commerical cargo van is also under consideration.

You should also know that KIA has maximum capacity of 50,000 units a year and for that the plant is not optimized before 2023.

As in phase 1 which is ongoing , only 30,000 units are planned and plant is capable of doing so . Plant is already making 10 to 15000 of Sportage. Possibly 6 to 8000 of Picanto and possibly will be doing a 5000 of Sorento is lined up.

This means the total capacity will already be met as per phase 1 as far as KIA products.

Lastly , I hope Cerato comes but as you have sources, I have my own resources from the industry and maybe both of sources [ yours and mine ] are right, maybe one is right and maybe both are wrong.
