Generally KIA/ Hyundai models don't age well and I am talking about the vehicles here in US.

Yeah I don't expect great stuff from Hyundai Nishat either. But Atlas quality reaches new lows every day. I just remembered how a friends 17 model civic developed a weird crack in the dashboard plastic in 2019, while even 20 year old civics are rolling around without that kind of damage here.

Recommended Tyre Air pressure for My Elentra is 33psi in all tyres....

Should i put 33psi or reduce it due to Pakistani road conditions.

I was using front 26 and rear 28 in all my cars . But their tyres have thicker profile.

Use recommended pressure for best fuel economy and performance. Overfill slightly if tires are warm. There is absolutely no need to go for reduced pressure. Tire hawa walas will try to convince you for 30psi as their machines are set to 30psi and they can't be bothered to change the pressure setting on the machine. Low tire pressure will decrease fuel economy and increase tire wear.

Saw an elantra in white today on road. It looks so much better than in the pictures. Thinking of replacing my 17 civic with one.

But as usual they will ruin it with stupid wait times and ridiculous premium money.
People will lose interest as the time passes and a lot of potential owners like me will change their mind and buy something else. For example if I have to wait for a year, why not I save some more money during that year of waiting and get maybe a Sportage?

33 psi is exactly 70% of max psi rating of the tyres and its a standard formula applicable to all tyres.

Yes Elantra looks much more beautiful than pictures in person.

Waiting time on Sportage also increasing due to covid. New booking time for AWD and FWD is August/September

For sportage checked yesterday in Karachi. Alpha available in May, Fwd in july and awd in august

Engine and transmission in elantra is exactly the same as of sportage and tucson right? In that case, they must be reliable otherwise kia and hyuandai wouldn't have taken huge risk on this in a new market.

I can confirm, the newest civic is horrible in quality... my uncle (chachoo) was given one from his company and he hated it. Within a couple of weeks the car experienced the same mechanical problem someone has mentioned here... it bent slightly to one side when travelling at speed.

Fortunately it was a company car, so they temporarily gave him a 2018 grande to drive (having almost 85k on odo)... needless to say he has never gone back to civic, and requested to keep it permanently. Theres a reason why grande owners are demanding big money even for used cars, you simply cant beat a local corolla and this experience has cemented my belief in grande

Yesterday I saw a white Elantra and believe me the pictures don't do any justice, I just instantly feel in love with it. It was giving a kind of luxury car looks. I can say it's definitely unique. If I was in the market looking for a car, this would be my choice. Sadly the pricing is ridiculous.

Unfortunately the corolla is way too outdated and very boring to drive. At least it used to look decent from the outside before. Now with the Altis X is looks like some paindoo went full ricer on it and used cheap parts while "maaadifying" it. The interior on the 11th gen corolla has been bad looking from day one and has the same low quality materials like the civic. At least the civic interior looks good. Corolla does not have the tensioner, ac, etc. issues like the civic, but it does have the dreaded cvt issues. Also those corolla engines do develop some oil consumption issues with age, while the r18 is pretty much bulletproof. And the 1.6 Altis is priced dangerously close to the base model civic to make it not worth it imo. All in all I'd still take civic over corolla any day.

The plus points of Civic X are looks, Bullet proof and reliable R18 and CVT (BTW Honda Prosmatec is a horrible transmission). Grande have overall better build quality, excellent suspension very less known issues.
Grande have very refined CVT however it's maintenance is critical and difficult. Toyota ZR engines are in PKDM since quite sometime but many issues reported on PW and internationally as well mostly regarding VVT rattle and oil consumption. Which could be due to wrong grade oil usage.

As a practical ride I would prefer grande over civic on any given day, If we particularly compares engines, than nothing in PKDM can beats R18 in 1.8 category in terms of reliability, robustness and tolerance for abuse.

Your point would be valid if the civic and corolla here were actually even close to the international standards. The quality of 11th gen corolla and 10th gen civic are honestly even worse than 10th gen corolla and 9th gen civic, both of which weren't well built either. Hyundai's quality seems significantly better, that is why in my opinion the slight price increase over corolla and civic makes sense.

Plus Elantra have 2.0 as comparison to 1.8 so price is justified.

Here we go it started again civic vs grande. Both are good cars n few issues both of them have civic is pretty and looks matter off course while grande is more reliable and way tougher than civic. Both r good machines I. The end its all about personal choice

There's no civic vs grande fight here. Those sedans are being discussed here as they are competitors to the elantra, making the discussion valid imo.
