Brother both cars are good . Grande served me very good . I drove it over 175000 kms. Not a single problem regular maintenance done. Supension was good according to where i live . Roads are so so . Yes leather seats were a killer especially in summer. Elantra has fabric im quite happy with that. Elantra has good supension too a tad bit stiffer than Grande but i like it. Elantra has good fuel economy. Much better than Grande. Elantras build is much much better. Sound system including speakers are awsome havent thought once of changing it.

Yes one problen Grande gave me was the AC had to have it changed 3 times.

Losing lot of value is one thing but still in UK the percentage value that a Toyota looses is less than the Korean counterparts. So it is still there not significant though

We can keep calling the big 3 shit, when in reality, the newcomers have acted in an even worse and more greedy manner than the big 3. It doesn't vindicate the big 3, but I sure as hell got no sympathy for the new entrants now.

Resale isn't a myth. Yes cars do depreciate hard in other countries, unlike pakistan, but toyota and honda hold their values better and depreciate lesser in every single market for good reason. At the end of the day the reliability of those 2 brands is still unmatched. While Hyundai/Kia have been rife with engine issues for the past decade. The literally had to standardize a racing grade oem low filtration oil filter to deal with the oil pressure spiking issues that every single one of their modern engines deal with, and they still haven't resolved that specific issue in the engines that came out after, and that "fix" is a really crude fix as the filtration is now really poor.

I am not dissing anyone. We as consumers should not be played by them. But yet again we only buy things by word of mouth or for Naak ooncha rakhne ke liye . Or resale and cheap spare parts .why is this a standard.
I buy a car to enjoy and to get me from point a to b. Ive had all my cars insured but never needed to claim insurance . It is for peace of mind people will say im stupid but thats how i like it.
I am not a technical person but its giving me joy im happy. Its under warranty the day it will give problems it will be claimed.

Yes 2 times in warranty once i paid coz warranty expired.
Grande used to give me max 13 to 14. Elantra can go upto 16 on long drive

No problem in dissing the big 3, I love doing that as well. But I will also diss the newcomers cause they have followed in the footsteps of the big 3 here. Companies like Changan have even made the pathetic city and yaris seem reasonable in comparison.

No problem in not believing in resale, cheap parts and parts availability, especially if your cars are always insured and you never own your cars beyond their warranty period, but it is a legitimate advantage that toyota and honda have, and not just in pak, throughout the world they are bought for those advantages.

Well today I went with my cousin to get Elantra on own.
There are hardly any vehicles in Lahore showrooms and all are sold out. The ones left are with own now.

So today got the car booked from Hyundai jail road dealership. The booking time which was almost non existent is now 1.5 months and at the time of booking I saw 9 Elantra’s readying to be delivered.

This car has started to make market and I can see quite many on roads as well. It’s our habit as a nation to complain about everything. When we didn’t had new entrants we bashed big three and their monopoly and now we have options we have started to like big 3 again. In this forum I can hardly see any owners commenting rather random guys bashing the car who have no idea how good the car actually is even many have not sat in it physically.

I myself own both grande and civic and my daily drive vehicle is civic x and I test drove Elantra at launch and honestly it’s a very good vehicle which ticks all the marks. It’s really comfortable, top notch quality, ample power and really handy features.

Was it an open invoiced car or a customer's invoiced car? After the price decrease, the reports I got from the dealers were that they have stopped ordering open invoice elantras and the only option was booking and waiting a month.

Hello, we were thinking of buying a car around 4m budget. We already recently purchased a Crossover SUV so we were looking at sedans. I understand there are two options worthy of consideration- a civic or Elantra (corolla has a new model upcoming). What are your suggestions
