The built quality of Elantra is way better thn a Civic for sure ! just open the doors and see the finishing of Honda and compare it to elantra. Only someone who is going inside with a biased opinion about elantra will say that civic built is superior.
One can argue that why Hyundai didnt launch the new shape here but i think they wanted to know what response they will get. I think it had to do with the production capacity of hyundai Nishat. I believe in 2 years time by 2023 we will get the new elantra and finally by then we will have a new civic too between 50-55 lac PKR !
Also I cannot quote examples from the middle east market because the market there behaves differently. Elantras are preferred over camry's for Taxi service, Toyotas and hondas are looked upon because Indians and Pakistanis go for Toyota and Phillipinos and Malaysians go for a honda. Honda Civic International is amazing because they dont rip off people like they do in Pakistan and that sir is my only concern. why charge premium and give faulty sub standard cars

Hopefully, the delay reason I have been told is because the company is giving complimentary updates with leather interior which I am sure now are only seats. But I suggest you should talk to the sales manager or whoever you are dealing with in Hyundai they will guide you better

I talked to him, he didn’t confirm me leather seats and told me these are rumors, no written confirmation yet.

civic/grande doesn't offer anything here which is available in other countries and also poor build quality you know. Elantra has a lot better build up and only trip down very few features.

Don't understand the obsession with 'leather' seats. For starters they are never real leather, only what we call 'rexine', very uncomfortable in summers and with wear and tear they get this weird shiny look that I hate. Good quality fabric seats are far superior, till this day one of the best seats I have experienced is on a JDM Passo, black fabric breathable seats that never require any cleaning and look brand new till this day.

With 2 tone interior fabric gets very dirty and is not simple to clean either. Also even in pkdm cars, its not 100% leatherite. Front is leather. Door inner side panels also make the car feel much more premium. Hyundai has to offer something substantial to make it sell well vs the competition. I recon it should have been better tyres vs these leather seats. A middle headrest at back will also add value and comfort. Biggest let down is tyres and new Chinese rims. Older rims were far superior in quality

Just wanted the pakwheelers know that my experience with hyundai kpk ain’t that good. Not picking up a call for 03 working days and not returning a call, not even voice clip on whatsapp is like a slap. I have always been polite and courteous but they never gave me an info regarding my booked elantra as if there is a disconnect between hyundai kpk and hyundai nishat. I have forwarded an email to hyundai nishat, lets see what comes out of it.

I park my car in shade and absolutely love to have leather/leatherette interior...easier to clean.. kids can spill whatever they want... not to forget the sweat..not sure how you guys keep fabric seat cleaned from sweat?

It is certified by sir suneel in his elantra review, that it has an impressive fuel consumption. So you can’t call it rumors or hearsay!
