Confused between sonata 2.0, civic rs and elantra hybrid. Please suggest

sonata is D segment different league. i say go for sonata. it has different set of options and feel.

It really depends what you are looking for. The Sonata 2.0 does not drive better than the Civic RS, but if you are looking for a bigger car this would be your go to option or preferred if you are being driven. The Civic RS has all the ADAS features, something the other two don't. Fuel consumption wise, the Elantra hybrid would win, followed by the Civic and then last the Sonata.
Depending what is more important to you;
Fuel efficiency then Elantra,
Performance then Elantra (in terms of 0-100)/Civic RS,
Size then Sonata,
ADAS technology then Civic RS.

If budget could be increased I would say Sonata 2.5 would be the best in its class

The only downside is Sonata N Line is FWD. RWD with 290HP would have been real nice.

Are there any insides on the expected price? Given that the current 2.5L sells for 1.12 Cr I'd assume something north of 1.6 Cr? Considering that there's plenty of ADAS features and a new driveline?

Not to forget the current advance tax and reg. taxes are at all time high. I think would turn around an additional 2M on an invoice of 1.5-1/.6 cr.

There's no downside. Companies that develop these know what they're making. Civic Typre R is also FWD. Accord 2.0T was also FWD. There are plenty of review of Sonata N Line FWD and I haven't seen anyone complaining about it not being AWD or RWD.

Tyre R has an LSD. Even Civic Si has one. Sonata N line doesn't. There are tons of reviewers complaining about lack of AWD and/or LSD. Without an LSD, its a burnout machine specially on turns. Intervention of traction control cuts power to improve traction but also reduces speed. It's not a substitute of LSD.

There was no downside on the 2.5 model because that was enough power where Rwd and Fwd would have just been about drive feel. With close to 300 hp on the same body I could see the car lose traction very easily on steep curves. I prefer to deal with oversteer much more than understeer but that might just be a personal preference, which is why I think RWD has a bit of a fun aspect
