Like journalists receive a large volume of photos, videos, reports on daily basis, however, a credible journalist is the one who brings only the authentic information in public interest and not for the sake of suspense.
I don't understand, while sitting in the US doing a full time professional job, how one is able to assess/ analyse the quality of customer service of KLM and their 3S dealerships, without owning the vehicle, just based upon one sided feedback of only few people who may or may not be the real owners of the vehicles.
The few incidents being reported are self explanatory, not covered under warranty. If the retraction function of side mirror has stopped due to damage done by hitting them by anyone, how come the company replace/ fix them in the warranty! The coolant reduction episode was inconclusive, never reported again. The fire incidence was due to an aftermarket accessory and cutting of wire harness. The alignment adjustment fixing if reported are resolved on the first inspection. If anyone takes his vehicle in the flooded area, how could he expect it to be fixed in warranty!
KIA has sold many thousands vehicles in Pakistan and it is very normal to have few issues in 0.01% assembled units. All the above are non-issues just being magnified to tarnish the image of KIA SPORTAGE in Pakistan. But the Pakistani customers are very intelligent and it is selling in large numbers.
The water leakage being reported by only 2 customers was pleasantly addressed by the company and the individuals got their vehicles fixed under warranty easily.
There is currently no recurring/ genuine issue with the Sportage. Unlike Honda Atlas's CIVIC X which has established trouble with steering rackend, battery overcharging & acid spills, Underframe Rusting, AC condenser, poor body welds/ seals paint, fading of paint in the door trims, infotainment issues etc. However, these serious issues were not reported with the intensity the way KIA's non issues being highlighted.
It can't be understood why the thirst to investigate Sportage's snags is always on the up especially with the increasing sales and with the launch of Tucson is on the verge.
