A few pictures of my FWD tucson. Received it in October, Drove it for 6000km and sold it last week because I was offered a good price.
Wanted to move to another vehicle in the same category but after thoroughly researching, booked another Tucson AWD. Since I don't find the sportage appealing, and amongst mg and proton only proton is worth consideration but its delivery times were absurd.
As for the experience, I shifted from vezel and the first thing was the much bigger width - translating to a roomy interior. A much softer ride, used to give an SUV feel compared to a vezel which has the driving characteristics of a sporty hatchback. And a much superior rear seat adjustment,which coupled with the panoramic roof provides a very good place for middle aged to elderly.
The fuel average was the biggest downside,especially highway figures. It averaged 9-11.5 in city depending on my conditions and for motorway 12.5 at 120/125. The plus side was a much quieter cabin, I would rate it even better than the civic X. Probably due to better stock tyres (kumho).
Other than that, the trunk space was good, driving was soft and smooth (something I see the young at heart complaining, since it obviously isn't as engaging as a civic). The service was simple (for the short duration I kept) and dealerships available in main cities. Costed 5800Rs/each for the oil changes, that I did at 1000km and 5000km.
Can't say much for the AC performance, because when I got it the weather had already started to change. One thing I will mention is that the paint quality was just OK,maybe I compare it to vezel, but the depth and finishing wasn't up to the mark.
Took it north, twice, power was ample and was easy to maneuver.

I too upgraded from Vezel to Sportage AWD and have the exact same thoughts.
Koreans have really upped the game and refinement and comfort is excellent. It’s really a welcome upgrade from Vezel which I didn’t like that much mainly due to comfort.
Rest for anyone deciding between Sportage /Tucson just get whatever you like of either of the two. Both vehicles are 99% same except for the shape. I picked Sportage because at that time delivery period was quite less (3 months vs 8 months) and also due to extensive 3S network of KIA lucky.

Vezel is more powerful due to hybrid system.
But sportage/Tucson have ample power.

No where close to vezel.
It offered power irrespective of the engine rpms. A hybrid/electric vehicles drive is very different from these conventional ICE.
For a comparison vezel had a 0-100 of around 9sec,and I checked on tucson, it did 10.8sec.
Plus vezel was much more planted at high speeds, even at 180 it felt in control, these bigger crossovers start to scare after 140/150.
But like I said, the up side to it is comfort

Any reviews about the infotainment system? Also is there any specific reason you chose awd over fwd while booking again? Any shortcomings you observed in fwd?

Oh yes. I forgot to write about the infotainment. It is one of the biggest drawbacks of the vehicle. Absolutely pathetic sound output, the overall interface and settings feel very cheap, and in my 3 months of ownership it hanged at least 4 times.

Choosing awd now only due to more demand/resale. Because I may have to sell it early next year and move ahead. Imo, fwd is the best value for money, and it is capable of handling all terrains this category buyers would travel to. Fwd also offers better acceleration and slightly better fuel average, and has all the necessary features; the only thing I missed in it was the electric tail-gate.
Plus the delivery time is also about a month early.
