You are not in trouble my dear. What is the criteria of your heart broken??? Come on Boy, you have taken decision and decision is decision, now it is up to you that whether you will make it right or not right?
In near late 80's in my childhood, i was fond of 1 model car and i saw 1 of it standing at showroom, i was not teenager even then but i insisted my family to buy that model car because most of my friend's father have bought that model. Similarly my childhood crush Father
also had that model car so it wasmatter of prestige for me that my nose should be up in Mohalla too. I started finding and taking out dozens of faults in our 12-13 years old car.
I had fear that might be if we take mechanic there for inspecting that car or some other 3rd person/party, then might be they will say something which can affect on our buying decision so i was in most hurry within family.
So upon my continuous insisting although my family was not willing, we bought that car by hard earned money (infact savings of several years in that era, at least for lower middle class like us). My family had doubt that it was too shining cars among other standing cars but why it was standing since long time and not sold but i gave reasoning that might be price is high so others are avoiding it, car has so much features etc.
Anyhow, i was most happy in my life when we bought that car but just 1 week after buying, came to know that car was repaired after badly heavy accidented from front side as well as deep bad accidented from rear, minute accidented from right side.
Whole car was re-painted, infact car was not dented properly and there were visible gaps + differences in lights alignment etc. + Silencers were not original, many plastics and clips were absent, Original monograms were missing, Different scars and damages at undercarriage. Paint was not of some good brand.
Car's front windscreen was not genuine. Car's original stereo was replaced by some previous model car. Car was giving white smoke just after 1st oil change o 2nd day after buying (It was not present at time of buying because of you know.......... .)
Lights were genuine but not original or factory fitted, Front & rear bumpers were not genuine and were of poor quality.
Cosmetics wise, he installed fancy Graphical Equalizer, amplifier (which was of high cost/quality in that era) plus too fancy seat covers and rear dash carpet so it was appealing from that part plus overall car was in eat and clean condition, not a single spot or dot(of course, because it was freshly repainted)
Upon coming to know about this just after 1 week, my eyes were opened that i was wrong and it was my wrong decision to insist family to spend so much savings/money over that car. It broke my heart and i felt that pain within my heart in my childhood
But do you know, later on, we kept that car for next 18-19 years with same paint, same fittings, same items(Except parking lights were changed 2 times and Front windscreen was changed 2 time sin 19 years, Same engine was used for more 14 years after buying with same white smoke at high rev.) and even at that time, it was because of my forgetfulness that i forgot to check radiator coolant or oil for 3-4 months and it ended up in blown gaskit, even at that time, engine compression readings were not too bad but then we overhauled whole engine, After Overhauling, we kept that car for 4-5 years more and finally sold it almost a decade ago. Although it was too o car at time of reselling bt my heart is still with it because i had too much emotional attachment with that car(Even now i have same feelings and love for that car) because it taught me too much lessons that how to check car and in how much ways, owners/showroom people as well as others make you fool when you are simple and they get benefit of it.
It is my personal suggestion to keep it and work over it and not to sell it, other pakwheelers can also give their respective input....I request @capsat @nnabeel @hassan1991 @helper_learner @mustansir44 @kamranaslam @omersiddiqui5482 @sleeper @uzeemujeeb to comment here in light of their personal experiences too.
So my dear Young boy, need of stress, no need of heart broken. I have written long reply to make you stand up and accept it with open heart. Believe me,. it will teach you lesson for whole life that in later years, you will not repeat mistakes again or be careful while checking cars + able to guide others too.
