Walking immediately after meals is a bad idea, it can result in acid reflux and indigestion. However, walking about half an hour after meals is known to be good for you. Researchers in the Department of Exercise Science at the University of South Carolina have found that walking post some rest after meals is a good way to burn energy.
The point to note is when to walk, you should ideally walk for about 10 minutes and only 20-30 minutes after meal to prevent acid reflux and stomach upsets.
A good leisurely walk after meals helps set the metabolism to a good level, gives your muscles a stretch and is a better option than promoting fat deposition by lying on the sofa watching TV.
btw how much time to wait after the walk b4 eating anything?as fat doesnt starts burning down if u eat anything after the walk
had breakfast around 7:30
then had halwa puri around 1pm so skipped the lunch n then had dinner directly
BF at 7:30 is good. But then there is a huge gap b/t 7:30 and 1:00. You should have taken a light snack at around 10:30-11:00. Halwa Poori isn't a very healthy thing to eat. It contains too much oil and is too much sweet. Skipping meals won't help you. If you think you won't eat anything and then just have the dinner, it'll be even worse. As I said; take meals but reduce the quantity. Eat 5 times a day but in lesser quantities. Don't let your stomach stay empty as it'll starve and when you'll eat, it'll store food. Whenever you feel hunger, have something (just a snack) to eat just to kill your hunger. Eventually, you'll not feel hungry all the time.
hahaha
not after long time
i started walking last month n then eventually stopped n then again started 3 days back other than that there is a walk of atleast 20min daily on my way to home after the class which is on 4th floor
even after taking the pain killer the pain was not gone n i had to work up on my legs with hands lol
kcal means like X 1000 calories? or just the 300 calories
normally walk on treadmil with 0 incline n speed of 5-6 shows 100 cal burned after 30min :o
kcal is just calories and not x 1000. You can't judge how much you have burned on the treadmills unless you are using the one where you have to put your weight. It gives you a better idea. When you don't have too much fat, your calories burn at a slower pace. I burn upto 500 kcals in 35 mins with a combination of modes such as walking, jogging, running, incline etc.
If you are not overweight, then normal walking is fine. But if you are over weight and have to reduce, you have to sweat as much as you can so that you can reduce. Once you've reduced, you can walk normally to maintain it.
